His room is small and limited on space so a loft bed was a must as he is growing older. I also didn't want to spend an arm and a leg but still wanted a nice and sturdy loft bed. This meet all our needs and then some. I will say the only problem I can see is the packaging. Either a sturdier carton with straps around it or put it in multiple cartons. It came in one very heavy long box that took 2 people to move. The carton was busted open on both ends. Thankfully nothing was missing and nothing was damaged. It took my husband and I about an hour to put it together. It was simple, quick and easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and each piece was labeled. Once together the bed is very sturdy and nice. It is tall so there is a lot of room under the bed. It's perfect for my son, he can even sit up in bed. Great buy! Review: great bed, good quality, my kid loves it - Got this bed for my 10 year old and he loves it. Pretty easy to assemble. It's a little wobbly, but definitely no concern of it falling over or posing a danger in any way. If you bump it a few of the bars just slide into cut-out slots in the legs so they rattle if you shake those bars. I squeezed a rubber band in the gap to stop it from rattling. The ladder steps are only 1/2" wide so for adults, it's not very comfortable to stand on. My son and his friends don't think it's a big deal.

Great Value and Quality
I've had this product for about a year. I think it's a great loft bed for what you're paying. I put it together myself, and you have to lean some parts against something to attach other parts but it's doable. Easier with two people but doable. IMPORTANT: Save the assembly instructions because for the most part they have you put it together in the easiest order as possible. Otherwise, if you ever have to disassemble it, you'll be looking at it and wondering how to reassemble it again and thinking...duh... You probably can down load the instructions from the manufacturer's website, but still, why hassle with that if you don't have to? I compared the structural way it was built with other loft beds on Amazon; the placement of the cross pieces and such, and I think they used the least amount of material while making it structurally sound so as to keep the cost down. It shakes slightly when climbing up/down the ladder and squeaks a little but it's solidly built. However, I didn't attach it to the wall (and I can't remember if they supplied hardware to do so), so it's free standing but still very sturdy. There's a lot of metal beams in this building and I didn't want to mess with it. Some comments are about some shaking. If people want something that is absolutely squeak and shake-free you'd have to use gauge steel like the heavy duty metal stocking shelves in Home Depot. It'd cost hundreds of dollars then. My friend occasionally climbs on while I'm on it. The combined weight is about 260 lbs. There's no sign of it collapsing or tilting. I have it set up in the living room of my apartment with a computer desk underneath it and it blends in nicely. Very cool. It's airy open build and black finish doesn't give the living room a cramped "closed in" feel. It's a guest bed but I've been sleeping in it for about a year since I'm helping my friend get it together and she's in the bedroom. I've slept very deeply on it. I bought the mattress and padding on Amazon too. It's very comfortable; I sleep so soundly. One main vertical beam was dented which I didn't notice until it was assembled. They had me take a photo and and they quickly sent out another one. The only thing I'd say is the ladder rungs dig into the feet and feel uncomfortable but I've used that water pipe insulation foam that wrap around water pipes and it's very comfortable; however, after a while the foam splits apart and you have to replace it. I have to figure something out. But really, this is no big deal in the overal picture. I think all around it's a great value and you won't be disappointed.

Exactly as stated in description & sturdy metal framing
The Zone Metal Loft Twin Bed is exactly what I needed to transition my 9yr from a smaller loft bed to a big guy bed that will work for him up through his college years and up to the weight he could be by then! It is very sturdy and allows him to have more space in his small bedroom without having to crouch down to get under it. He made under it his gaming/tv area and he loves it! Shipped as stated and no missing parts and actually had a few extra pcs of hardware as a just in case which is always nice to have. I will say it was too heavy in the box for me to get into the house from where the carrier left it at my garage door instead of my front door ( this is where my teenage son came in handy). Once in the house and I openned the box it was easy to put together by myself (as a mom). This bed met all my expectations and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Not horrible, but wouldn’t buy again
Easy to assemble, instructions easy to follow. I did this myself without any problem- 35yo mom who’s never assembled a bunk bed. I guess I am not too familiar with bunk beds, but this is very wobbly. I have been in a very sturdy wooden bunk before and never imagined a metal loft bed would feel so shakey. It’s impossible to break down and try to return but I would never buy this again. I mean it will serve its purpose while my boys share a room and I will find a way to anchor it to the two walls it’s up against, but i wish I had spent more for a wooden bed instead. I guess it’s the chance you take when buying online!

Perfect for creating more floor play space!
Great for making more play space for children. This was my main reason for purchase. My 67lb 8yr old loves this new setup. It is really cool. He has his PS5 set up underneath with a little comfy chair I got at Walmart for $29. I’m also going to get LED STRIP lights for the entire underneath the top loft. Seems pretty sturdy to not be bolted into the wall. I did buy some soft stick on pads for the corners so it wouldn’t rattle on the wall when climbing. As you can also see in my pictures I temporarily wrapped the ladder steps with tennis racket grip tape so it’s not slippery in socks. This bed I give 4 stars and price wise I give it a 5. Truly is a great value but I don’t see it lasting forever or anything. For the price, it was perfect for a 2-3 year setup for him. Ps the Height underneath from carpet to underneath loft is 58”.

Great for an 8 yr old
My sons room is tiny! To give as much floor space to be creative, we chose this loft bed. Fairly quick to assemble. I read lots of complaints about the stickers...with 30 minutes, sticker remover, & w-40 it came off quick! No complaints here on that. My only wish would to have a way to anchor to the wall. With baseboards/quarter round the bed sticks out where its not possible. We placed a 10" bed in a box mattress on top. An 8" may have been better though. Its also a very tight fit. It's hard to get the fitted sheets on, even more so if its placed in a corner. So thats my only worry for those "sick nights", itll be a pain to switch out the sheets.

Built to Break
There is an inherent flaw in this bed that makes it break easily. I will try to describe it as best I can because I am not familiar with the name of the part and it has to do with what you are screwing the screws into. If you screw metal rod A into metal rod B, the screws are actually going into a hole in each rod that is fitted with something like a "glove" that holds the screw. This metal part that is like a "glove" (or similar to a nut for a screw, if that helps you get a better visual) pops out of all the metal rods VERY EASILY with just only a little bending. What that means is if you have metal rod A screwed into metal rod B and you bend metal rod A just a little bit to make it line up with metal rod C so you can screw those pieces together, you risk making the "glove" pop out. And once it pops out, there is no hope of you screwing the two metal rods together ever again. The screw "glove" is not secured inside the metal rods! Three of them popped out while I was putting this bed together. Luckily they were at the bottom of the frame and do not affect its stability, but just the fact that this happens, means this bed is poorly designed and can break easily. The only way I can see repairing this bed and the screw "gloves" that have popped out is getting the help of a welder.
