Purchased for a beach trip - mainly looking to keep my belongings out of the sand. However, this turned out to be exceptionally useful. Beyond the obvious mat to keep everything out of the sand, I also used it as a sunshade (connected to the back of a beach chair and staked into the sand at the other end) and a rain poncho. It dries very quickly and easily folds into the included pouch which also stores the included pegs. This is large enough for 1 person, okay for 2 people but I will be purchasing another one or a larger one for next year's trip. Highly recommend this, especially for the price.

This was perfect for our beach trip! So easy to carry and the perfect size! It was much easier than lugging beach chairs everyday. The sand really does come right off. It’s amazing! Also, we lost the stakes but it was so easy to put sand in the corner pockets and it held it down no problem. Highly recommend!

The mat is lightweight and handy. I have not used it yet. Not sure how it will be in the heat if it will stick to you. I like that water can not get to you if you use it on the grass. I was going to use it as a tarp for my tent but its too nice. Going to try it at summer concerts. The stakes are too small to really be helpful and the "head" on them is so small . I was able to fold it and put into the bag very easy.

I love it! Just got back from our vacation to Ocean City.. The blanket was wonderful. I put my towel over it and it was perfect. It was easy to carry and believe it or not I was able to easily fold it back up and put it back in the small travel bag after we were done. One day while we were on the beach a huge wave came and covered our entire belongings with water and sand. The blanket was covered with sand as was everything else. We just put it back in the water to rinse it off, hung it over our chair and within a short time it was dry and ready to use again. People on the beach asked where we had gotten it and we were able to tell them simply- “We got it on Amazon”. The plastic sticks kept it down great and we didn’t have to worry about the wind blowing it away or it getting moved. I highly recommend it !!!!

--If this review helped you, please click "helpful"-- I was in search of a big beach blanket UNTIL I found this. Every other size I was finding was huge. THEN I saw this one and ordered it. I ended up with two of these because I figured it would be easier to arrange this in different positions rather than have one large beach blanket. Plus, if I'm at the beach alone, I don't exactly need a huge blanket. This one is easy to fold and folds up very small; a big plus is that it has its own little carrying pouch which fits the blanket and the steaks. I took it out and practiced with it. This thing is awesome for the money! Totally great for the festival I used it for. Big enough for the four of us to park our behinds on and the sand stakes were great for keeping it in place.

Works best folded, which takes a little more time than stuffing it into a sack. It’s fine for a blanket to throw in the trunk for unexpected things like a stop at the park.

I have not used it yet (pending a camping trip) and can't rate it for durability but from initial impressions, it is very compact, lightweight and I appreciate the stakes provided with the product, even though they are plastic. I plan to use this as a ground sheet under a tarp where I'll be cooking and hanging out. Cost is reasonable but this remains to be determined based on actual usage.
