Nextbase Rear View Camera Module for 322GW, 422GW, 522GW and 622GW

Absolutely fantastic and cost effective addition to my next base dash cam. I had thought about getting a rear facing one for years, but just hadn't got round to it... this little guy arrived just in time as two weeks after I installed it, some muppet drove in to the back of us at a roundabout, there was no question or agreement who was at fault. picture quality was great.

This module plugs into the side of the camera so no installation problems. But this limits the place where the camera is mounted: the rear view must not be hidden by the sun visors or the rear view mirror. Actual performance is better than I expected from various reviews. In my car (Skoda Superb Estate) the lens produces a good image in which, for example, car reg. numbers are clear. The rear window mostly fills the image (if not obscured by passengers). Little, if any, side windows are shown though. I tossed in my mind which of the three modules to buy, but for me this does all I need it to and I made the right choice.

Easy to fit. Limited view which is - as advertised - like looking in your rear view mirror. Not as good a view as a dedicated rear-mounted camera. However, no wiring and works straight out of the box if you already own a compatible nextbase dashcam. Very adequate.

It's plug and play. Much easier than running a cable for the other rear camera option, especially in newer cars with much tighter trim clips. Video quality is good enough, and even in my little Corsa (F model/2020), it can see enough out the rear to catch number plates. Highly recommend having a rear camera, it's worth every penny. One of those things where you hope you never have to rely on it, but you feel safer knowing it's there.

Does exactly what it says on the box. Easy installation with no extra wires needing placing around the car. For me it has given me that extra comfort of knowing that other drivers behind me can be captured on camera without having to spend a lot more money. The camera screen shows a small rear view picture within the front view picture. I have yet to check what this looks like on the app.

Brilliant, but only works on certain models so check before you buy. I got the 533gw and it was just the case of put it in the side and it's worked straight away. Found out if you haven't got the picture you want to view the back just move the lens, very easy until you got the angle you need. To me this is a ideal solution if you don't need someone to put wires all over the place. 5 stars for me

Quality isn't bad for a small relatively cheap camera. I did originally have the dedicated rear camera but removed it because the wire is way too long and it interfered with my dab reception. Seriously, I have an estate and I could probably route the camera around the car twice! This camera is the happy medium. Still a rear camera, but I'm still able to listen to the radio. Careful though, I knocked it once adjusting the rear view mirror and it caused the dashcam to constantly reboot so make sure it's firmly inserted as removing / inserting makes the camera reboot.

Great qIf your priority is recording vehicles behind you clearly (rather than seeing the passenger cabin), this telephoto rear module is a clever and compact solution. It avoids the messy wiring and intrusive mounts of full rear cams. But don’t expect perfect coverage in all scenarios — you’ll need to test angles, live with lower resolution compared to the front, and accept that you won’t have zoom control after setup. If I were rating this on balance, I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars — a very useful upgrade, especially for drivers who want stronger evidence from a rear perspective, with only a few compromises. uality, sleek design and works perfectly fine. Bin sehr zufrieden mit der Kamera. Nach lesen einiger Rezensionen war ich etwas skeptisch, was die einfache Installation und Bedienung dieser Zusatzkamera betrifft. Da man die Linse aber leicht im Winkel Zur Hauptkamera verändern kann, gestaltet die Installation sich doch relativ einfach. Ist die Kamera eingesteckt, kann man auf der Hauptkamera durch einen Klick auf das Bild der Rückfahrkamera dieses vergrößern. Noch besser funktioniert die Positionierung beider Kameras über die Live Ansicht in der App. Ich habe die Hauptkamera rechts hinter dem Rückspiegel positioniert und gerade ausgerichtet. Dann habe ich diese Zusatzkamera auf die Heckscheibe ausgerichtet, durch das verdrehbare Teleobkjektiv war das sehr einfach. Es sind lediglich Personen auf der Rückbank zu sehen, Fahrer und Beifahrer kann man bei meiner Positionierung nicht auf der Aufnahme sehen. Die Ecken der Heckscheibe sind nur sehr knapp nicht auf der Aufnahme zu sehen (Opel Insignia B Grand Sport). Kennzeichen von folgenden oder vorbeigefahrenen Fahrzeugen sind durch das Teleobjektiv aus größerer Entfernung zu erkennen als auf der Hauptkamera (522GW). Bei Fahrzeugen die nur wenige Meter entfernt sind, kann man aber im Gegensatz zu einer Heckscheibenkamera kein Kennzeichen sehen. Für mich ist diese Kamera die optimale Ergänzung zur 522GW. Da ich einen geleasten Firmenwagen nutze, kam für mich eine aufwendige Installation einer Heckscheibenkamera nicht in Frage und ich wurde von diesem Zusatzmodul nicht enttäuscht.

Module testé avec la dashcam 622GW mais qui filmait surtout les passagers du véhicule. De façon générale, bonne dashcam s'il n'y a rien entre le pare brise et la lunette arrière. À voir selon le type de véhicule.
