I don't have pets but I have a toddler who gets sick on the carpet. Is this good for human messes or is there a better formula?

I have never used it on human messes but think it would work well. Does an amazingly good job on pet messes.

I want to use this on oriental colored wool rugs. Have to do the whole rug no spots. Will this be ok? (rugs are all patterned)

There is no way to know if your rug is colorfast until you test a small area. I would try blotting a very small section with a saturated white cloth, and waiting to see if any color is transferred. If the rug is valuable, have an oriental rug specialist clean it.
