Experience the beauty and the magic of Cicely Mary Barker's famous Flower Fairies, with a new edition of Flower Fairies of the Autumn . The magic and loveliness of Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies, newly rejacketed and updated with a contemporary look, is a perfect gift for Flower Fairies fans and a new generation of readers. First published in the 1920s, Cicely Mary Barker's original Flower Fairies books have been loved for generations. The book features poems and full-color illustrations of over 20 flowers and their guardian fairies. Review: "If you believe in fairies, clap your hands!" - ...in applause! Because every fairy depicted in this book wears a charming outfit that matches his or her particular Autumn flower, berry, plant, tree, bush or leaf. Cicely Mary Barker's artistic style is distinctively her own; it matches no other. You can tell she casts a benevolent eye on each and every one of the delightful little wing-ed ones that she creates. The lovely renderings of nature in Autumn are a treat in themselves. I purchased this as an e-book, and have enjoyed the colorful pages on screen, but I've since gone on to purchase the hardback version of her little book, "Flower Fairies of the Winter," which played its part well in a Christmas display. I am caught up in the delightful world of this extremely talented artist's imagination, and enjoying every minute of it! Review: Beautiful and Sweet Little Book - Beautiful quality little book with rich colors and lovely paper and well bound hardcover. My 3 and 7 year old great nieces love it and this series of books by Cicely Mary Baker. Soon I will send them "Flower Fairies of the Winter" as a gift for Valentine's Day. They already have the sweet and beautiful books Flower Fairies of the Spring and Summer. Perfect for children and appreciators of her beautiful illustrations and poetry created in1923.

Beautifully Done!
This book is a delight from beginning to end. Cicely Mary Barker must have been part fairy herself. She has an inside loop to the fairies and fairy lore that no other author can even come close to replicating. This book will become a collector's item, if it hasn't already. I am 70 years old and I purchased this book for myself! Julie J

What a cute little book! Excellent size for children, beautiful pages of color plates in excellent condition from being reproduced into a new book. A gem from 1926.
