Fast shipping and performs as I expected. I don’t know if the square Scripto lighters are still sold but I hope they are as that is what I will need whenever I need to replace the one that comes with the torch. Can’t rate the durability yet as I just received yesterday. Quality seems good so I don’t anticipate any issues at this time. Would buy again.

I needed a lighter for small crafts and this is the perfect size. I did have some issues getting the flame to stay on, but the seller was very helpful and spent time making sure I had a working item.

It works reliably and fits the hand nicely. It uses a small cigarette-style lighter as its fuel tank; you refill it just like any butane lighter. (If you're new to butane, watch some YT on how to purge and fill a butane device - that will give you reliable operation.) It has the usual click-and-hold thumb trigger; has a lock to prevent clicking when not in use. The butane capacity is a bit small, so need to refill often if you use it a lot. But very handy, very precise flame, great for small work.

I have to press the button many times and sometimes give up because it won’t light. It’s virtually unusable.

Occasionally takes two clicks to light, but overall works great. Easy to refill the fuel cell lighter, too.

During this time I have purchased a wide array of micro torches in different shapes and sizes and from different sellers as well as manufacturers. Follow my verified buys and you will note that I own 2 peworks with such stones a lapidary. Initially I was a little reluctant to order, and there were a few negative reviews of this item. Once I received it all doubt was gone. The case is a fairly solid plastic, fits nicely in my hand and opening the torch to replace / refill the fuel cell is easy. BTW - this came with a fuel cell so you don't need to order one, unless you want 2. I find the actuator to be nice and crisp with a positive click to it. The flame is steady, with no hint of sputtering. In keeping the flame engaged for a while there was no heat buildup - which is great if you plan to use this for more than lighting candles. The only complaint I have - which may be common to all torches - is that the flame takes around 2 seconds to die once the trigger is released. For what I was using it for, I need to put the torch down immediately before the nylon cooled off and was unworkable ... and I was hesitant to put down an active flame. All in all, this is a great item and I will purchase another.
