MADHAVA Organic Agave is sourced directly from non GMO and organic agave farmers who share our values of doing good for people and the earth. All of our organic agave nectar products are made with organic ingredients crafted to bring out the best flavors as nature intended. It's just, agave. When MADHAVA started making honey in 1973, we were shocked that food companies tinker and toil with synthetic formulas, trying to re-create authentic flavors. We knew there was a better way. So, we ventured into deserts in Mexico, climbed trees in California, and sapped flowers in Asia โ in an obsessive pursuit of purity. As our company has evolved since 1973, so has our passion for purity in all foods. Itโs now our mission to get clean ingredients to tables across the country โ and the world. In our pursuit of purity, weโve partnered with the Clean Label Project to double and triple check that our MADHAVA methods prevent environmental and industrial contaminants from getting in, resulting in natural, organic, rich flavors you can trust. Every MADHAVA product is Clean Label Project certified and continuously tested for hundreds of toxins and contaminants. Review: At Last..... - I fell in love with Madhava's Organic Light Agave many years ago. I used to buy and use this when you could only get it in little tiny struggling health food stores. Now that it's become so mainstream the price has gone down considerably! Suddenly I slowly started to see it leaving the shelves of health food stores, Whole Foods, etc. Luckily I have also been a LONG time desertcart shopper. I live in southern California and they just put in a new Whole Foods down the street. They are selling this exact item for $7.99/bottle. With desertcart's Subscribe & Save, I get it for about $5.00/bottle! I LOVE the price and I love the product. Unlike other alternative natural sweetners, this one is just sweet and pure, there is no other flavor and nothing but the organic nectar. So it goes easily into anything you would want sweetened and it just tastes sweet...NOTHING ELSE! I put into all sorts of things; coffee, tea, baked goods, cereal, a little drizzle on some sour berries, etc. I even carry a little bottle with me and when I go out to eat, I order iced tea and drop a little of my agave in. Let your creativity be your guide. Agave is also very low on the glycemic index, making it an ideal alternative for those with diabetes or other sugar related issues. My only caution is that I am only reviewing this specific product and not agave as a whole. I find that I am not fond of other brands and even Madhava's darker products are not as appealing to me. So take a chance be creative and ENJOY!!! Review: This is poison - I had had perfect blood tests all my life until I started using agave. Then my triglycerides shot up and my liver functions showed abnormalities. Stopped using this product and my blood went back to normal in six months. Granted, I was using several teaspoons daily, but still. Our livers can't process this amount of fructose all at once. This stuff is as good for you as high fructose corn syrup. Stay away from it.

A great replacement for white sugar
We have completely replaced white sugar in our home, and Agave Nectar is one of the things we have used to do it. We use it in baking (although this gets expensive, so sometimes we use organic evaporated cane sugar instead), for syrup (I don't buy or make syrup anymore), on PB&J's, on top of cold cereal or hot oatmeal, etc. Agave is actually GOOD for you, as it is high in minerals. In addition, it is low on the glycemic index, so it does not raise your blood sugar levels. I have been off of white sugar and corn syrup for over a year, so I can tell immediately if something is high in sugar of any form. Agave does not give me that feeling, so I know it is not affecting my blood sugar level. I love this stuff, and this subscription on Amazon is the best price around for the good quality Agave. Thank you Amazon! By

Is OK
I thought i was buying 1 bottle to try, instead a 6-pack arrived. I have shared it with friends! It smells and tastes like a caramelizing sugar. It is a good alternative to maple syrup if you can't have the sugar (i still prefer maple syrup) and i have used it in marinades instead of brown sugar. I am giving it 3-stars because i am not convinced i would use it regularly, but will keep looking for ways in which i find it useful. I did not care for it in my tea.

Better than artificial sweeteners
This is my second time getting this product, Madhava Organic Nectar (light). What can I say, bottom line it taste great! It's sweet but doesn't change the flavor of what you are mixing or leave an unpleasant aftertaste (key - does not leave aftertaste!). I tried using honey and after eating honey every day I believe the honey started to disagree with my stomach. I switched to agave nectar, I use it for everything but primarily with coffee so I dink it every day and did not have any discomfort or side effects. If you are still not sure look for it locally and try a small bottle, try to get this particular brand since I have not tried any of the others (there is no need). I mean, the agave nectar doesn't taste like sugar, the flavor is a bit more like honey but with a milder "organic" taste, but if you are already looking at this page and decide to get it I don't think you'll regret it. ... Did I forget to mention the flip open top works great?

Didn't Make Me Tired
I like to make hot cocoa from scratch using Hershey's cocoa, milk and 2 tablespoons of sugar (sometimes with a pinch of salt and vanilla). But I was falling asleep about 15 to 20 minutes after drinking the cocoa, regardless of how much sleep I had the night before. I had this problem years ago when I used to eat cereal for breakfast, switched to eggs or other non sugary breakfasts. I'm not a diabetic, but sugar sometimes makes me sleepy. As an experiment I bought this Agave Nectar and used it to sweeten my hot cocoa every night for the past week or so. I have not fallen asleep once. So, based on my results, it would seem that this is indeed low glycemic and does not trigger an insulin surge. I'll use it to sweeten Oatmeal from now on. I also used it to sweeten a Latte today and it was great. In the past I've used a small amount mixed with an once of filtered water, 100% Agave Tequila, and fresh squeezed Lime Juice to make an excellent Margarita (without Triple Sec, which is garbage).

Damaged
They came in a box and apparently 2 had leaked. I cleaned them up and discarded the open damaged ones.

AWESOME product!
No need to look. This is the best deal on Agave. Agave is the answer to the sugar issue. Its better tasting than Honey and can replace sugar in any situation. Is said to be very low on the glycemic index and a good choice for Diabetics. Is delicious on pancakes or sundays. Is made from the nectar of the cactus plant. Can be used by Vegans. Try it and you will be convinced. My family loves it. Desolves quickly, unlike sugar or Honey. Great in coffee or tea. Keep a squeeze bottle at the coffee pot at home or in the office!
