Awesome buy! Durable, fun, and will keep the kids amused for hours! :)
I have to say I bought this last Christmas and I thought it would be great for our daughter who was 6 and really loving the angry birds app and angry birds merchandise and it was a hit! Not only was it a hit for our daughter but a year later I would say that this has become a favorite for many of her friends that come over and visit and request to play this game. It's very detailed and easy to understand and play even for the kiddos. Obviously there are small pieces that I wouldn't let small children or children who have a habit of putting things in their mouths play with this game. I've been very impressed with how sturdy and durable these pieces are we've taken this game to the beach, on picnics, and to the park as well. The only thing I will caution parents about is when you go to take the pieces out of the box for the first time pay close attention to how they go back into the box it's like one of those brain teaser games putting all the pieces back if you didn't watch what goes where trust me I made that mistake at first but really that's the only thing. The age group I have playing this game from my daughters friends to kids I tutor in the neighborhood ranges from ages 5-13 and they all dig this game. For the price to me it's definitely been worth it for sure I didn't think it would be this well played and I'm very thankful just make sure if you purchase this too that anyone who uses the slingshot to fire the birds does not fire towards any crevasses because you can really get those birds going and it is a pain in the behind to dig them out from behind the fridge or under the stove so I always have the kids face the slingshot towards the living room or other open area :) hope this helps!

Games with Catapults are always a hit around here!
OK, OK.. It is angry birds In real life game. The only thing it is missing is sound effects!! This was a birthday gift for my 4 year old.. YEAH YEAH the box says 5 and up, but he sure is enjoying the game A LOT! TO be honest we haven't sat down and played through a round according to the rules, but we don't have to to enjoy this set! The blocks are plastic, but a very sturdy plastic with fund wood grain detail! The birds are a great size, CUTE and look amazing! the pigs are well designed to sit on their blocks and not roll around. I have read through the rules and am sure it will a fun game to play. The instructions are definitely easy to follow. I know my kids will enjoy just playing freely, or trying to build what the cards show. It can be a bit tough building some of the set-ups, you will accidentally bump things over, no biggie, comes with the concept of the game IMO and only adds to the play time. The catapult can really get some air with it and launch those birds! That is the biggest challenge, figuring out where to start your catapult and how hard to let it fly! PS the Catapult and one bird made a cute addition to an Angry birds Birthday cake I tried to "build"!

7 year old loves it
My 7 year old loves Angry Birds. He has the stuffed animals, the shirts, and now, the real life game. This was a present he received on his birthday and it definitely is a favorite. He plays it all the time and brings it out every time he has a friend over. He is able to set up all the pieces they way they are shown on the card, and i would think that kids even a few years younger could do it too. The cards show you exactly what you have to do, they're very straight forward. No, the birds do not explode or split into the mini birds but he loves it all the same. It's very cool to play the game as an App, but its awesome being able to do it in real life. I highly recommend this for all kids(maybe even some adults) who love angry birds. Would definitely buy again, and have recommended to others.

Requires coordination and patience
I think the concept of this toy is really fun, and my kids certainly enjoy it although you need to be prepared to search around for scattered pieces if you don't have a restricted area for shooting the birds. I find shooting toward a rug or on a table with a tablecloth keeps them from ricocheting all over the room. First, the good stuff: PROS: The rules are simple, easy to explain to younger children, and you don't have to know how to read to figure things out, so that's also great for little ones. The birds, pigs, catapult, and the structure pieces all seem pretty sturdy. Plus my five year old likes to just play with the game pieces as action figures. We only got this game because he wanted some plastic Angry Birds to play with and this was the only thing we found that fit the bill. The game builds coordination and (hopefully) a little patience in the best case scenario. But that leads me to the cons... CONS: This is more a downfall for folks like me who can't stand tedious projects :) but I get a little frustrated trying to build the structures shown on the level cards sometimes. They are supposed to be grouped according to difficulty, but some of the Level 1( ie: allegedly easier) structures are just as difficult as the Level 2 and 3 ones. There are some I think might be impossible to build at all based on the law of gravity, although my husband disagrees and says with enough balance they're all possible. I'm kind of a fumble-prone mom and I spent more time knocking down half-built structures with my clumsy hands than with birds at first. If you have a child who doesn't have much tolerance for slow, meticulous projects then he/she might be annoyed trying to build the structures. As far as the actual shooting the birds part of the game, that takes some getting used to and is actually a lot harder than on the Iphone app. in my opinion. That said, it is doable. My five year old and eight year old are fans of the game and have already played with it a lot. One tip: make sure you keep up with all the pieces because losing even one or two of the logs or blocks will seriously hamper your ability to complete the structures on the cards.

Staying on our shelves more as a Toy/Game then a Game.
It is staying on our shelves more as a Toy/Game then a Game. My youngest son received this as a gift, since he was so into electronic version. We've played it as a game a few times. He decided he wanted to combine it with our Kepla/Keva/Citiblocs collection. It's great fun to build with the blocks then shoot it down with the slingshot and angry birds. Since then the Angry Birds Game is that is stored in our Big Tube of blocks. They haven't played the game again as the "game" For those who don't know Kepla blocks are thin strips of wood that are about 3" long about 1" wide. They are without print providing a blank canvas to build whatever they can imagine. The kids play with them several times a week now, in the beginning they didnt play with them that much. After watching a few videos on YouTube of adults playing with them they took off. Back to the Game it's self. The FUN Factor well it is fun as a game. It's knocking stuff down my little meeples love that. Kids can learn a lot about physics in the building of structures and from the demolishing arc of the angry birds. Replay... as the way it was intended to be played I don't know it's morphed into it's own game/toy our home. Few times has it followed the rules with only the pieces included. So, I am honestly not sure. I think that the replay value would have been limited if it had not morphed. Personally, I am just glad they use the pieces in such a free form way. I like that every time they play they make up their own rules/story for that session of play. I would strongly recommend buying some type of complimentary block set that can be played along side this. The Components themselves are a sturdy plastic. The angry birds fly nicely and are a lot of fun for the kids. The sling is holding up so far, which considering it's plastic moving parts I am pleasantly surprised. The cards are run of the mill mid grade cards. The box is flimsy at best it was designed to be seen not restore. We cut out the graphics and used clear shipping tape to tape them on the Top/Ends/Sides of a Sterilite Clip Box. I like using the shallow version of the Sterilite Clip Boxes for stuff like this. The art and design on the box was average. The pieces are a well designed, visually fun and really they are what creates the 3D real life version of this electronic game for the kids. NOTE: I tried adding in some little angry birds that were not game pieces but smaller plastic/rubbery balls they did not come close to comparing to the sturdy weight/durability of the pieces that are included with the game. Overall. 4.8 (adding in credit for Toy/Game Play)

Just what the world needs, Simplicity.
Why should you buy this toy over a simple tablet app? After all with a video game your child gets loads of levels and more variety. True. Here's where your doing your kid a favor, by letting them be truly interactive. Kids today lack even the simplest building skills. Have you challenged a kid lately to build something with Legos? How about anything where they use their imagination to construct something? Well with this game you get to trick your kids into something modern with the Angry Birds brand name, but they are actively......wait for it.....playing. This toy is fun. I've played it with my five year old several times and it is truly entertaining. It's old school. The basis is like this: you build it, you knock it down......then you do it again. A winner take all and the loser gotta-build-again type of learning. It's simple. I fully recommend this toy. Its fun. It's not the greatest toy ever made, but it's fun and it's a step in the right direction if your sick of your kids being lazy players. Sometimes simple is better. Cheers!

Angery birds for at home
I got the Angery Birds: Knock on wood toy for my cousin. he loves it. with this toy instead of having to get on your mobile device you can just set up different levels and play angery birds right at home at your table. the games comes with the pieces of wood (which are plastic with is great as they wont break as easy), 4 little pig heads, an angrry bird, sling shot, cards, and extra point stars. while adults might not find this version of the game as fun as little kids. It is great for little kids as they can actually see how the game works and see how to move the wood pices and pig heads around to make it work for them. Bottem line: I would recommend this item

Just pure angry birds....
This toy is definitely not for anyone below 3 yrs of age. I do have a toddler running around the house and his big brother makes sure he does not reach the "small birds". My older son is a total angry birds fan. He enjoys the game and he uses his building skills to create new "pig" habitats to destroy. Now granted this is not a classic "learning toy", my kid does not mind it one bit and it does engage his imagination. He still enjoys playing Angry Birds HD on my Ipad, PC, and phone but he likes to see the birds knock the pigs down beyond the tablet screen. The rules are simple to explain to your child and the cards are pretty interesting to use especially when building the different configurations. Cards or no cards, I just let my child build his own configurations in addition to what is there. Overall it's a fun addition to the ever growing Angry Birds collection in the house.

Lots of fun!
We bought this as a gift for our seven-year-old niece. She was so excited when she ripped open the packaging, and wanted to play with it straight away. Even without an opponent, it is a lot of fun, and she enjoyed putting together the castles and then knocking them down again with the various birds. The birds are indeed each a little different, and the "wood" blocks (they're plastic) are well made. It's a shame that the pigs' faces are just stickers, as the birds are properly 3D, but it doesn't make that much difference to the gameplay. All in all, recommended!
