Beautiful blood red color; does not bleed through my stationery; dries fast. Great durability, functionality, and is superb value for the money. A deep red. Writes smoothly and is a nice break from black or blue. There is some bleed through (pun intended) on lesser grades of paper. It is definitely worth what it is paid for and is easy on the eyes. Recommend for passionate love letters.

I'll start with important points, it flows great and doesn't clog. It's not liquid either so it wont leak, it flows beautifully and smoothly. Now the color, its beautiful slightly darker red. A lot of darker red inks are close to color brown, but this one is nowhere close to brown at all, hence it's perfect. When inside the pen (my fountain pen is transparent), it looks like actual blood taken from my veins. When on paper it stays the same and always looks like fresh blood (not dry blood, don't worry haha) The size of this thing is huge. I got through many many pages on one simple refill and I got so much more left, will likely last me 2 to 3 years. It's great value. It's worth it. If you want to avoid nasty red ink teachers use to mark papers and avoid darker red ink that appears to be brownish, then this one is perfect, genuine fresh blood red. Beautiful red with good flow and proper lubrication. It also cleans out easily with random color changes I seem to do several times a week! Solid brand, solid color, and perfect consistency. Five stars for me, but Diamine has become my go to solid brand I can count on.

Blood red just as I wanted

This ink is really beautiful --a deep, rich red. It is a wonderful shade of red that is not too garish or "retina-searing," so it works for an elegant piece of writing. The only drawback is that, like many red inks, this one has a tendency to gunk up your pen. If you let a pen sit with this ink for a long period without use, you'll see a bit of "crud" that gathers around the nib. So to combat that, you need to flush the pen more often than with less gunky inks. Still, I recommend it because the color is so warn and rich.

I always use fountain pen to write at work. And I like red ink a lot. Colour of Diamine Red Dragon is simply amazing. I used Sheaffer, Pelikan, Lamy and many others - none of them was so intense and quick drying. Bottle is closed well by metal cap, arrived on time and securely wrapped. I'm delighted and going to order another one.
