Good price for nice matcha can’t complain
Honestly is a very good matcha! At a good price! For every day use. I was scared it was going to be a fail like other matchas here in Amazon..buttt It does have a more bitter taste to it. if you whisk very well you do get a creamy matcha. I add maple for a sweet taste to balance it out, and it gives me the energy I need! I love it!

10/10!!! The best matcha powder
The best matcha powder!!! It is definetly high quality, the color is a perfect green. I have repurchased it like 3 times already and will keep doint it. I just wish the container was bigger, I would still pay a little more if it was bigger and had more powder.

Good option
Definitely one of the better matcha options on Amazon, the flavor is pretty good, not great, but it’s smooth, gets me feeling caffeinated, and for the price I think it’s a great starter matcha !

High quality, slightly sweet taste, best in class Match tea
I purchased both the Jade Leaf and Kenko Matcha Green Tea Powder. Both are ceremonial grade matcha and about as pure as you will get. Both are sourced from small family farms in Japan and are tested repeatedly for radiation. Jade Leaf is slightly less expensive at $23.95 for 30G. Kenko is slightly more expensive at $27.99 for 30G. Kenko has a slightly sweeter flavor and the tea powder is a brighter green. Jade Leaf is not as sweet and a tad darker in color. I like them both equally and alternate between teas. I have become an avid Matcha tea drinker after being a long term espresso coffee drinker. The clean refreshing “buzz” keeps me alert for hours without the jitters. Also L-Theanine an amino acid found primarily in teas promotes relaxation, reduces stress, while at the same time boosts concentration and alertness. I can code for hours on this tea. Traditional ceremonial teas are packed in light tin containers that seal air tight. Keep them in the refrigerator to keep it fresh and cold. Jade Leaf arrived with a sealed bag of powder tea inside the tin. You simply cut the bag open then pour tea inside the tin. I think they took extra precaution for freshness by double packing. Kenko arrived with the tea loose inside the tin. It was not double packed. It didn’t affect the taste or freshness at all. Jade Leaf sent me follow up emails asking if everything arrived ok and if I was enjoying the tea. They also sent me coupons for future purchases. Nice touch. I like it when suppliers take the time to do this. Kenko sent me an email asking if all was good but they did not offer any future purchase coupons. All in all I like them both. If I had to buy just one next time I might go with Kenko because I prefer the slightly sweeter taste. I would recommend buying both as I did and do your own taste test comparison. These are two very best Matcha teas on the market and I wouldn’t bother with any other brands. Both of these teas are created in the highest strictest manner with emphasis on quality and taste. They also buy from small family farms which I like. I was not paid for this endorsement not did I receive any incentives from suppliers for writing this review.

MY FAVORITE MATCHA 💓🍵
This matcha is my new favorite! The flavor is very mild, with a grassy flavor profile! On its own it has a fresh, light grassy flavor with slight bitterness. Definitely the most pleasant and least bitter matcha I’ve tried! When made into a latte there is no bitterness at all! Super creamy and froths very well! My photo doesn’t do the color justice, it’s a vivid bright green in person! LOVEEE 💓

A mixed bag
My review is complicated, so read to the end if you really want to understand my opinion. I really wanted to love this matcha. I don't hate this matcha, by any means. It just isn't great. I am a tea enthusiast. I have an appreciation for a wide range of teas. My chief demand is that the tea do a good job at being what it is. Cheap tea should be good, cheap tea. Flavored teas should be good, flavored teas. HIgh-end teas should be exquisite at being high end. Kenko organic matcha is priced to be ceremonial (rather than culinary) grade matcha, but it falls short of that standard. The matcha experience that I was introduced to in Uji, Japan was very distinctive: a vibrant, emerald color, frothy foam, mild temperature, and a flavor that is complex, with notes of grass, sweetness, and bitterness. Additionally, very good matcha provides an almost medicinal feeling, like you are drinking a tonic. There is a feeling of well-being that comes from sipping good matcha. Lest you think this was an effect of Japan, and not the matcha, I have had this experience at home with matcha I brought back with me from that ancient tea town. The Kenko wins on the color and foam. It whips up like any other fine grade matcha, and makes a lovely emerald bowl. Where it falls short is in flavor and the feeling of well-being. The flavor is quite mild and not very complex. I attempted to correct for the flavor with greater amounts of matcha powder in the serving, but succeeded only in making myself jittery from additional caffeine. The amazing flavor I associate with matcha just wasn't there. The feeling of well-being never materialized, either. That feeling is a very vague and subjective criticism, and should perhaps be discarded from the overall rating, but the flavor alone earns the tea only three stars. HOWEVER, I will say for organic matcha, it is likely Kenko is very good. I have tried a wide range of organic and non-organic teas, and I often find organic teas to be less flavorful than their non-organic counterparts. I don't know why this is. I am not biased against organic food; I often choose organic foods in preference for both their flavor and better practices. Organic teas, though, consistently disappoint. I think if you are committed to an organic lifestyle, and are looking for a matcha selection, Kenko is a fine choice. If you are looking for great matcha, I recommend Ippodo's ceremonial grade. Also, do yourself a favor and learn how to make matcha properly. It is brewed at a much lower temperature than even regular tea, and you must use the proper amount of powder for your serving, and you must whisk it thoroughly in a matcha bowl. You must also take care to drink the matcha before the powder settles out. If you make the tea wrong and hate the result, don't leave a negative review of the tea. That is user error, and not the fault of the seller. Also, if you do not already enjoy green tea, it is unlikely you will enjoy matcha. It is a more intense experience than regular brewed green tea.

THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH (no, seriously.)
O.K., first off, a little background … I’m just north of 50 and have been working out hard for over 30 years. I’ve spent the last 5 years or so taking over a dozen or so different supplements and vitamins every day (fish oil, probiotics, turmeric, milk thistle, trans-resveretrol, just to name a few). I also eat healthfully, work on maintaining a positive attitude and strive to always get a good night’s sleep. I indicate all of this because I take nutrition and health seriously. I read some interesting articles a month or so ago about the benefits of Matcha Green Tea powder. After comparing prices, I opted to purchase this specific product because of its high-grade of quality and stellar reviews and after taking it for 3 weeks or so, this is my review. This is hands down THE MOST EFFECTIVE HEALTH PRODUCT I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. Sustained mental clarity for 3-5 hours without any jitters? Check. Increase in strength and stamina? Check. Immediate restorative breathing to my sinuses? Check. (Every single time I drink it, and within minutes of drinking it.) An effective fat burner? Check. Working out hard, eating right and drinking several cups of Matcha Green Tea everyday, (particularly during my workouts) has helped me to GAIN 6 lbs of muscle, while torching visceral fat around my belly in the process. I’m 5” 8” and am now 168 lbs and this product has helped me to maintain my 30 inch waistline. And none of this touches upon the ridiculously strong anti-oxidant properties of this product, which research strongly suggests helps to keep your brain healthy, while fighting off alzheimer’s, parkinson’s, cancer AND good old fashioned aging. Yes, ceremonial Matcha Green Tea is in essence the closest I’ve come to finding the fountain of youth. My only regret? That I haven’t been drinking Matcha Green Tea for decades. Don’t settle for inferior, cheapers products (particularly any Matcha Green Tea product from China, which does not regulate what they put in their products, so you can end up with basically anything). Stick with this ceremonial grade, Matcha Green Tea from Japan, which is the most potent and manufactured with the highest grade of quality. I give this product my highest possible recommendation.

Perfect taste for the authentic Matcha experience
Matcha lover here after visiting Japan. Got this product after reading all the glowing reviews. Delivery took a while as its being sent from the US (I think) but tea tastes great and dissolves easily.
