Tool works great

We are a professional commercial and residential fence installer and we have used these wheels for over 10 years. My previous one lasted over 9 years and the only reason why I replaced it was I ran it over with my truck accidentally. I had one that the counter fogged up at times inside but if the manufacturer is reading this, my one and only suggestion would be to make the counter numbers bigger and easier to see while measuring and possibly make a more rigid adjustment handle. They come lose at times and you just need to re-tighten it but it is a pain sometimes but if you are a consumer, BUY THIS WHEEL! They are very accurate, last a long time, and are bullet proof just not truck tire proof! :) :)

Woks good, give correct footage

This is my preferred measuring wheel. Really durable. I work on roadways, highways parking lots and often use it for repetitive marking like every 12 foot for lane striping lines. What’s great about it is it has an automatic spring loaded anti reverse brake, so it makes this task so much quicker. Also I feel safer looking at traffic and just counting the 1ft clicks till I get to 12ft and mark. Do yourself a favor and use the built in stand bracket to mark out inches by adjusting it 90 degrees to the vertical bar and using a paint marker pen to mark your inches out. I’ve used this same wheel for over 3 decades. It used to be produced with a strong steel metal brake. The draw back to the redesign of this wheel is the brake is now made of inferior soft metal and wears out quickly. I will be epoxying steel key stock to the brake to see if it will correct the flaw.

I'm a professional landscape designer and I purchased my first Rolatape Wheel in 1995. I still use that wheel but the middle joint that allows it to fold finally broke last year . I applied Duck Tape to attach the handle and it works just fine but will not fold. I decided to get a new wheel that will fold as it's easier for me to transport. There are a lot of wheels on Amazon but Rolatape is the only one I would recommend. I like that it is analog as I don't like digital displays- especially out in the sunlight. Plus, digital anything these days is risky given how shoddily products are made today. I prefer simple and mechanical and I'm not too lazy to turn the dial back to 0000. Like another poster mentioned, do not leave this out in the elements, do not allow the sun to bake the joint in the back of your pickup as it will degrade the plastic and cause it to brake. If you take good care of it, it should last your lifetime. That said, I did abuse mine since 1995 and it held up until last year ( still works). Definitely worth the price.

I can't imagine using any other product after relying on this one for over two decades. It's the only one I trust and it has never let me down.
