I've been using this water filter, and I'm very impressed with its performance. The primary reason I chose it was to tackle the chlorine taste and odor in my tap water, and it has delivered exceptionally well on that front. The difference in the water's taste is immediately noticeable – it's much cleaner and more refreshing, making even plain water a pleasure to drink. It also does a great job at reducing sediment, which is a common issue in my area. What sets this filter apart is its design featuring granular activated carbon. This allows for a surprisingly high flow rate with very little pressure drop, so I don't notice any decrease in water pressure when using multiple faucets. The extended capacity of 40,000 gallons is a significant plus, meaning fewer replacements and greater convenience. Even though the recommended replacement is every 3 months, it's reassuring to know it can handle such a high volume of water. Installation was straightforward, fitting perfectly into my existing 10" heavy-duty housing (it's also compatible with OMNIFilter housings). For anyone looking for a reliable and efficient way to improve their home's water quality, this filter is an excellent choice. It effectively tackles common water issues, offers great capacity, and maintains good water flow. Highly recommended!

This Water Filter does exactly what it is supposed to do. The one thing I would like to see is an in depth instruction guide. This filter comes with none!

I use this as a second filter, the first being an RS6. I replace the filters every six months. I am pleased with their performance. They are relatively easy to install. When replacing the filters, I throughly clean out the bowl of the housing and the o-ring. I apply a very small amount of silicone oil to the o-ring to make it easier to get a water tight seal when tightening the housing. The silicone oil also makes it easier to open the housing.

Simply the best CB6 filter you can buy! Good flow rate. Fantastic filtration! Besure you have the correct filter housing for this cartridge (BF7 and a few others).

I purchased this as a whole house single filter and was excited that it had a 1 micron rating. The installation went well but did notice an immediate reduction in flow rate. It was enough where I had to replace it with another filter the next day. The reduced flow rate might be common when you go down to a 1 micron rating; however, I did find a replacement with the same rating and the flow rate was not effected.

We had the water system put in our house when we bought the house. We changed filters religiously at first. It kept the stains in our showers and sinks clean. Then for some reason we quit changing the filter. We took out the old filter and didn't put a new one in. After awhile the water smelled like chlorine and we had to clean or change the shower heads and faucets. I looked online for the filter we needed and put it in. Now we're back to clean smelling water and no more white crud.

This fits the BF7 Omnifilter housing. I ran aprox. 55 thousand gallons thru the first one I had before I noticed a drop in water pressure. I had a problem with a dirt smell and rust from the city pipes ruining clothes in the washer before getting this filter and no problems after. When changing the filter there is some Nasty stuff floating around on the dirty side of the filter so it's appearently doing it's job of filtering. I found that when opening the housing that if you keep the pressure release pressed while unscrewing the housing that it helps a lot. A word of advice, if you do install a whole house filter have a bypass of the filter with shut off valves installed so that if you have a problem with the filter or housing you aren't without water or scrambling for a replacement. Posted a pick of a used filter after only 26,000 gal. I used a hose to clean the caked on brown stuff off, didn’t try to re use the filter to see if it would regain lost water pressure. My only complaint about these filters is the price!
