I have used RainX for at least 15 years and more. My first experience was on the road. I had bought the Rain'x after watching the commercial and as a new user, was not yet convinced. I was in an RV going down the road and pulled into a rest area. Before we started off, I applied the RainX to the windshield. The glass was crystal clear, I noticed this first off. Heading down the highway we ran into a rain storm and it was a heavy down pour. I was amazed to watch the water beads hit the glass and race off the sides and top. I don't think I turned on the wipers. It didn't needed it. ( user must decide need and safety factor of using wipers in various conditions ). We were in the storm for 10 minutes and the windshield never became hard to see out of. Over time the same situation has occurred in all the vehicles I have applied RainX to the glass. It becomes funny after awhile because you begin to notice other cars going down the road in a rain an NOT using the wipers. Another RainX happy customer. Another side of this is safety. I was traveling the highway in a rain when the wipers stopped working. There was no place to pull over but the RainX treated glass remained clear to see out at the traffic. As another reviewer reported, the beads of water depend on the air rush across the glass to move off the glass. If you are going highway speeds, the beads fly off. If driving in town, the speed the beads move is much slower but in most cases still clear the windshield. Wipers will work much less because the RainX seems to help the blades wisk the water beads away. sNow and dirt are removed much easier and the windshield will look cleaner longer. Outside mirrors seem to remain clear longer as well. Any glass treated will bead water and it will run off the glass. The treatment remains almost full strength for 30 days then the effect will begin to fade away slowly. When you see a noticeable change in water movement, re-apply another coat of RainX. Apply only to glass. There is no harm to the glass or wipers and if you don't like it, let it fade off and you are back to where you started. I highly recommend RainX to anyone driving the highways or who drives a lot of miles per year. Applied as recommended, you will see a big difference during a rain in clarity and ability to see out the glass as you travel. This product received a 5 out of a 5 star rating at GatRo

I've used this product for a long time on all my vehicles. Living in the Northwest we get a lot of rain and Rain-X nearly eliminates the need for windshield wipers if applied on a regular basis. This is awesome stuff, but I agree, it can be tricky to apply. Applied in 50 degree or warmer weather is best, with 2-3 coats needed for best performance. It coats your windshield with a substance that beads water, thus allowing rain to slide right off. HOW I APPLY THIS PRODUCT: I use a microfiber towel to apply this product. I fold the cloth into quarters and spray one section with the Rain-X. I then cover the windshield, using circular movements until I see a light haze on the windshield. I then (wipe) buff it off using a clean microfiber towel and reapply a second coat, removing it in the same way. I find that doing this in my garage allows me to see the haze a bit better than when working in direct sunlight. If I find I have a haze, I spray the surface with water and wipe it again. There's a YouTube video that shows that if you use a wet, soapy car mitt to wash the windshield it removes the haze quickly and thoroughly, but I think that probably takes off some of the product too. My advice... do what works for you. CONCLUSION: I have not noticed this product effecting the clarity of my vehicle's glass other than the initial haze, but if you take your time you can get it off and it will work well for its intended purpose. It does have a strong odor, so even if you're working in your garage, make sure you have proper ventilation while working with it. ➤TIP: When you wash your car use quality 'conditioning' soaps instead of dish soaps which will strip wax and Rain-X from your car. I recommend this product to anyone who lives in a climate where rain and snow are frequent happenings. If you use it, after awhile you'll realize you turn on your windshield wipers about half as often, with dirt and bugs sticking less too.

I bought this without a lot of expectations. Once a year, we have to clean our windows in NYC, 14 stories above ground. They open in but they are big and it's a pain as they are heavy and moving furniture and looking at a big open space that far above ground is not something I like but since moving the furniture and getting the windows ready for access is 80% of the job we do it. So, I figured I'd try this to see if it would keep the rain spots off. Somewhat to my amazement, as I'm pessimistic about tweaks like this, it worked. It's been about a month, and the windows have been wet a number of times, sometimes quite wet and there are no water spots. I don't know how long it will work but for 14 big windows it was worth a try. It wasn't hard to put on. Didn't streak though you do have to polish it. It was an extra step but, so far, it seems like it was worth taking. UPDATE 2017: Having done this three times now, I'd say you will gain about six months of relatively spotless windows. After six months, I'd guess the protection has worn off or mostly worn off and spots begin to accumulate, but for the limited extra work after all the fundamental work of getting to the windows, six months (could be a little more) seems worth the extra effort since most of the work is getting to the windows and this is only a last step. I do clean the windows twice with it. In the second pass, the window is clean and I spray one more time and wipe dry which might add a little more protection. I note this for all you residents who must struggle with windows high off the ground, who dread doing it as much as me. However, it will not move you from a 1 year cleaning cycle to a two year cleaning cycle. I still need to face it once a year but for six months of that year it looks like I cleaned them the day before.

I like this product. It worked well for a about a month and then I stopped noticing it working it was easy to put on. It looked good, but the durability again is only a month. It seemed to protect from water stains and I didn’t try to removal it so I can’t tell you how easy it is. You also get a good amount of product considering you only need a few sprays. but still a small bottle for storage purposes

Purchased 2 of these January 2023 for $5.99 each. Great value! We apply this on our car windows and headlights/brake lights before long road trips, and we personally feel that it really just helps with visibility on multiple ends. Applying this back during the rainy season in California, didn't even need to use wiper blades during intense rain because the rain just bounced right off. Of course, the back of the product says to still use your wipers, and we did of course, but it's cool to see that our wipers had some assistance and didn't need to solely rely on the wiper blades to have visibility of the road. It's also great because it really helps with clean up! On these California road trips especially, a lot of bugs unfortunately get demolished with their bodily remains on the window and front of the car, even somewhat on the sides especially when crossing the central valley. Applying Rain-X prior, they don't quite bounce off like rain does, but clean up is a lot easier since they don't stick to the front window and headlights as much. Really a great product. Just be sure to follow the instructions in the back, and know that the streaks you see as a result of applying the product is normal. If you read the ingredients, you'll see ethanol as one of the main ingredients. It's a really strong and somewhat unpleasant smell, so expect that. But that's when you know that it works, because the difference in polarity is what allows the repelling of water from your window with Rain-X applied. It's less than $10; if you're thinking of purchasing, just do it. You won't regret it. If you don't like it, you're out less than $10 and never have to buy it again, but at least you tried it.

I use Rain-X glass treatment for both exteriors windows and rear backup camera and it's been very helpful in heavy rain and snow. Just 2 sprays and a quick blast of an air duster coats the lens well enough for several storms. I highly recommend it!

This spray works wonders! The first time I heard about it through TikTok, so it got me curious, and then I went ahead and bought it. I wasn't sure how easy it was going to be, but the instructions were pretty simple. One bottle should last you a while. It can even be used across multiple vehicles. So, I'd say the bottle size is perfect! No leaks were found when it arrived, and I hope others don't have an issue on delivery with theirs. I'd also like to add that it left no streaks behind. Totally recommend!

I don’t use windshield wipers anymore. It’s insane! Also have a brand new windshield, so not sure if it’s this crazy on all cars. But the water just rolls right off. It’s also easy to apply and doesn’t leave any residual if applied correctly and then rinsed.

Toujours satisfaite de ce produit. Il faut frotter longtemps pour retirer le bariolage des vitres puisque ça semble gras, mais la finalité est superbe. L’eau perle bien sur les vitres d’auto.

施工後は凄まじい強撥水になりますが施工方法を誤るとムラムラになって汚くなります😅 自分の場合は綺麗な乾いた状態のガラスに吹き付けて乾燥はせず乾いた綺麗なクロス拭きあげてます🙂‍↕️ムラになりにくいかなと思います😀公式では塗り広げて少し乾燥させて拭きあげるとありますが確かにかなり密着が良くなりとてつもない強撥水になりますがムラムラになりやすく白く曇るため拭き取りも困難になります😀 ムラになり拭き取りにくい場合はクロスを水で濡らし堅く絞ったクロスで拭きあげればムラは取れます😀フロントガラスサイドガラスリアガラスサイドミラー全てにガラスであれば使えるのかなと思います♪大容量なので中々なくなりませんしコスパもいいかと思います♪ 最後に拭きあげ使ったタオル等クロスはすぐに洗濯しないとバチバチ撥水タオル&クロスになってしまって使い物にならなくなるので即洗濯推奨です！
