How does the recording function work? For instance if it is on a tripod, does someone have to squeeze the trigger for it to function?

This version, need to squeeze the trigger (on hold) but we can upgrade the firmware in months. This meter can be upgraded by downloading our upgrade kit (software) after purchase.
