bought new table,somehow see minor scratches in shiny finish. scratches are only in the polyurethane finish not down to wood.would this product help?

Yes, it would be perfect for your situation. Remember, however, that as soon as it dries completely, you need to treat the entire surface to a good waxing...this is a restorative and not wood protection. For that, you need a good quality wax.

will this remove softned finish from a pine desk top or watermarks from cabinet doors?

It won't remove the finish it wont strip the finish. It will blend with the existing finish and create a Restoration of the existing finish. Watermarks yes....as you read the product description I believe, there is mention of watermarks. I love the product and have used it on Kitchen cabinets, furniture, real wood hardwood flooring. I keep it on hand. I know antique dealers who swear by it. Hope this helps.

Will it work on teak?

Didn't work on oak so I don't know.
