How do I know when the wood is ready for cooking?

Hi there, We say it's ready when there is not a large flame.

How large is each piece?

Each piece is approximately 10 inches long and the diameter ranges between 2-4 inches. A bag contains 10-15 pieces depending on the size mix. Since this wood is used as a smoke and flavor enchancement to your primary fuel source you only need to use one piece per cooking session and you can use your KUDU smoker lid at the end to extinguish the wood for use on another day. You can easily get 15-20 cooking session per bag of wood.

How many times can I use a piece of wood until it’s not useable anymore?

It's awesome BBQ wood but it's like any wood. Once it burns. it's gone. So one and done.

Description

KUDU Braai Wood is hand selected from the desert of Namibia. Acacia wood has long been considered one of the best woods for cooking and smoking. Burning for hours with floral aromatics, this wood will outperform any wood currently on the market and create an unique award winning flavor profile. One bag of KUDU Braai Wood should last you several cookouts as we recommend using only one piece of wood in conjunction with charcoal used as your primary fuel source. 20 lb. bag. Review: True African hardwood - Can't get better than this, if you want a real true south African braai then this is the Rolls-Royce of wood!!! Loved every minute of it.
