704 Decorative Cast Aluminum Wall Mount Garden Hose Reel, Holds 125-Feet of 5/8-Inch Hose - Bronze

I needed a new garden hose reel for my back yard as the old plastic ground-based reel fell apart. After plenty of research, I purchased this one. What an excellent choice. Very well made, super sturdy, and works like a charm. And, it looks great! Love the shelf on top, on which I store extra hose nozzles, the occasional water bottle while moving the lawn, work gloves, etc. In my case, I mounted it to a poured concrete wall using a carbide-tipped drill bit, hammer drill, and tapcon screws. It was really tough getting this screwed all the way in but well-worth it. The only issue, which they do address in their instructions and on the website, is that the leader hose may spin and knot/kink, when it is not supposed to. I shot a bit of silicone spray inside the mechanism which they suggest and all is now good. Pulling the hose out is a breeze. And to my pleasant surprise, reeling it back up is equally easy. I did not want the model that has the worm screw that makes the hose coil a certain way. Instead, I use my hand to guide it when reeling it in. I also selected this one since it is unlikely to rust (cast aluminum?). Love this hose reel, the way it looks, and how easy it is to pull out the hose and reel it back in! I highly recommend this.

These work great, this is the second one I have purchased for my new home. High quality and no leaking that I have observed. Easy installation and setup. Probably going to buy another for the back yard soon.

No complaints so far. Installation was quick and easy. I used a paint marker, an awl, a regular cordless drill with a 1/4" masonry drill bit, a #6-10 DuoPower Anchor and appropriately sized metal washers to mount it to Brick. It probably took less than 15 minutes once it was unboxed and I gathered the tools. This winder seems very sturdy and the build appears to be solid. It is a little heavier and maybe a little more compact than I expected it to be but in a good way and it is attractive to boot. This thing winds my hose with minimal effort and it was an actual joy to do on my first go. So much so that I ran the hose out and did it a second time. I have observed zero leaks but I have yet to put any real pressure on the connectors. I'll test it out with my power washer soon enough. It was -16% off at the time of my purchase which made it a pretty fair deal. I did find it for less on another site but I did not want to wait weeks for the delivery. This is the third hose reel I’ve purchased for my property. I like the overall design and function—it makes storing and winding up the hose quick and easy. However, on the previous two models, the silicone handle covering started to deteriorate over time, which made the grip less comfortable. Pros: Easy to wind and store the hose Elegant design Shelf to keep hose heads and brushes Overall function is smooth and reliable Cons: Silicone handle covering deteriorates 2 years or so Bottom Line: Even though the handle material has been an issue, I still like the product for its convenience. If they improve durability, it would be close to perfect.

Best hose reel that I've used, we're on the salt water so spray with protectant to prevent corrosion of the powder coat finish. Once they changed from aluminum to brass for the swivel hose connector it eliminated the weak link in their product.

I've bought 6 of these over the last 5 years for two different houses. They are nice looking and sturdy, and they make rolling up hoses much easier. Leaves a neat appearance if you do it right (see below). Tips: 1) To take pressure off the reel, don't try to roll up a long hose that's all twisted and/or strung across the yard. I drag the hose over in front of the reel area in a few sections arranged like a switchback road up a mountain (no loops crossing each other, if you can picture that). 2) Drain water from the hose before reeling it in to reduce the pressure and weight. Makes it much easier. 3) Use your non-crank hand to guide the hose onto the reel to make a nice tight wind. This is a must especially if you're using a really long hose or it won't all fit. I gave 5 stars in spite of having to return one because of a leak inside the drum. They replaced it no problem. This is the best hose reel I've used. All the retractable and automatic reel ones have not lasted and been wasted money. Get this one instead and follow the tips above for a good, long-lasting, attractive reel. Heh, I sound like I work for their marketing department, but I assure you I don't.

Toller Schlauchhalter, Blickfang im Garten! Wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet und ließ sich leicht an der Wand befestigen. Leider, leider undicht an der Verbindung zum Gartenschlauch. Mit Gewindedichtfaden geht es. Preis ist natürlich völlig überzogen :) Leider habe ich keine günstigere ansehnliche Alternative gefunden, die nicht neontürkis/grün/orange ist.

Design was decorative & pleasing. Appears sturdy, bled over 100’ hose , handle functioned quite easily & quickly. I had previously bought this brand & it has held up well over the last 5 years. However the older model had an additional advantage in that it was able to wind the hose evenly back & forth across the reel. I think that was a good feature & am not sure why they discontinued that feature.

We've had the other version, with the hose guide. The guide broke after 2 seasons. But this version seems better, less prone to breakage. Much, much, sturdier than the plastic hose guides. Should be installed into a stud, but install is relatively easy. We also bought a lightweight flex fabric hose, 100 feet. Now our hose system works perfectly!
