do these filters work consistently? i purchased non bissell replacement, and they only worked once...would not allow a tight enough seal for suction

Yes they do work consistently. Its a Bissell product. The brush is a plus as well. But read your owner manual and see how often to change them. I rotate them so one can dry completely.
