This is a new way of calming down for me. I all of a sudden became sensitive to your other calm me down products. I don’t drink alcohol for my own health choices. I could not get pass the smell. I did not realize that it smelled so bad. I do not know how anyone can take this at all. It literally smells like fecal matter. I vomited from the odor .

I bought this to try for myself, not knowing that it would end up being for my cats! I didn't know cats love valerian root! They go crazy! For me, it does help me relax. The taste is what you'd expect, not the best. For my cats, I put a few drops in their cat beds and trees. They roll around and then fall asleep. Apparently, it works well! It is pretty potent.
