I don't know what kind of magic this thing possesses, but it has really worked for my dog, 75 lb lab mix. For a variety of reasons (combination of aging behavior, health issues, excitable personality, etc.) my dog started waking up frequently throughout the night. Before the happy hoodie, he would pace restlessly in the bedroom or whine until I woke up and we'd go downstairs and lay on the couch. One night I decided to see if this would help - he woke up restless, I gently slipped it on him, and within seconds he was back on the bed and snoozing away comfortably until it was time to get up. I use it during the daytime here and there when he is overly worked up or restless for one reason or another and it has worked consistently for him. Make sure to keep their ears flat against their head underneath the hoodie - takes a second or two to get the fit right but it makes a difference. It worked so well I bought a second one so I could have an upstairs one and a downstairs one. Size large was a good fit. Worth every penny in my opinion!

I have tried everything to calm my doodle during storms and was hoping this would do the trick. To say she hates it would be an understatement, but it does keep her a little calmer instead of pacing from room to room. Not a miracle fix but helped a little

Neither of the two dogs I tried this on were calmed by it. I bought one for my Foxhound Catahoula shelter mutt who had terrible separation anxiety. Was destructive in the beginning, busted out of his cage, and was a lock picker of said cage. So originally bought it for him. NOTHING. Same amount of cage destruction as before. Zelda, my Dutch Mal, I bought for drying with a pet dryer, turns out she didn't really need it. This is like CBD oil, some dogs it will work for, and others it won't. I fell into the WON'T camp twice. To the point I lost them. One thing to note, when washing them, cold and cold for both washer and dryer since these shrink and deform if heated. To the point the Large failed to fit the foxhound after a wash. Zelda has a tiny head, so she was fine. THOUGH, that is to say that these don't have some unusual uses, like if your dog needs to wear a cone, this was great at preventing neck chaffing on Zelda, also the cone wasn't small enough for her neck that this added extra girth that was just enough to ensure a snugger neck fit.

Works great! Highly recommend this product! My small dog was just shaking like a leaf due to fireworks. Put it on her head over her ears and now she is just chilling, and no longer shaking/trembling.

I like the design of this as it’s stretchy and will stay on. My dog seems comfortable enough in it and didn’t try to remove it, but he doesn’t mind wearing hats and being dressed up, so your dog may be different. I bought it because he has a sore on top of his head that keeps opening back up whenever he plays with another dog. Due to the shape and size of his head, it doesn’t cover the sore, so I’m going to return it. He’s a small Shih Tzu, so he has a very short neck and a flat little head, which contributed to the poor fit on him. It may fit your dog or cat just fine. The material is a heavy knit and seems to be decent quality. It was easy to put on him and easy to remove. I think it’s a decent value for the money if it suits your particular needs.
