Fit and Strong
Contrary to what has been written, these batteries fit perfectly in my legacy VersaPak charger and tools. They also seem to maintain a strong charge. I'm very happy to have these power tools working again.

The Creabest Actually Fit
After reading reviews posted here and for other manufacturers of VP100 compatible "VersaPak" batteries, I was concerned about the tight fit people have experienced. I selected the Creabest and I am happy to say I have seen no problems. They have thin labels. My Black & Decker tools were purchased about 27 years ago. The Creabest charge properly in the original B&D charger stands; LEDs light up when they are inserted. They can be inserted and removed with no extra force required in both the drill and the reciprocating saw. I did notice I had to wiggle or slightly rotate one or both batteries in the drill for it to begin to operate, not so in the saw. I have not determined charge times as yet and have no idea what the lifetime of the batteries might be. Hope this helps. Most remarks by others have concerned the vacuum.

Revive VersaPak Tools!!
These have brought a Black and Decker VersaPak-powered screwdriver back to life. Highly recommended if you have a VersaPak device.

Gave new life to an old B&D ScumBuster
My ancient VersaPak Gold batteries would no longer hold a charge. That exiled my beloved B&D ScumBuster to the closet. These Ni-MH Replacement Battery replacement arrived and were charged overnight. Popped them into the SB and lo and behold the unit started operating! I am thrilled I gave these replacement batteries a try. For $20, it was certainly worth the price. Time will tell how long they will last, but if anywhere near the length of time as the original VersaPak batteries, it will be well worth it.

Good Replacement Battery for Craftsman/B&D
This appears to be a good replacement battery for my Craftsman electric screwdriver, which I think is made by Black & Decker and thus identical to some B&D models. It fits perfectly in the screwdriver and the factory charger. It has rejuvenated the old screwdriver, which had been useless for several years with its original batteries. Service was fast and it was delivered in one day. I just received the new batteries, which I hope will not run down when the driver is not in use for a while, a chronic problem with the factory battery.

Works with screwdriver but not with charger unless hooked up with test leads
These batts worked great right out of the package in my ancient B&D screwdriver but then they wouldn't charge in the VP130 charger. It turns out that the recessed contact inside the battery is about 1mm deeper than in the old batts so the contact "finger" of the charger couldn't connect. I tested this by using some test leads to hook up the battery to the charger and voila... the "charging" LED lit up (be careful doing this... if the leads touch and short out they will get very hot... don't ask how I know :) ). Anyways, -1 star for that little prob. I still need to figure out a better fix but other than this issue, the batteries seem good.
