Works great for the price.
At first, I thought it was a bit flimsy because the arms were thin and flexed a bit but I really like it. It works great and it was inexpensive. I found that if you squeeze the can a little, it crushes a lot easier. I used to throw the cans on the ground and step on them, which worked, but then I had to crawl around on the ground and pick them up. Now I just have a garbage can below and they just drop in.

It’s is easy!
So far so good! It does as advertised. I was hoping the “can ejector” would have a little more juice but it does its job as long as a collection box is directly below it.

Structurally solid after 4 years, but watch for rust
I purchased this McKay 16oz can crusher in 2022, and it has been a staple on our deck ever since. If you are looking for a high-value tool that can handle heavy use, this is a very durable choice. Performance & Ease of Use: Four years later, it is still fully functional. The design is simple and effective, making the grind speed (or crushing speed) very fast—you can knock out a whole bag of cans in minutes. It is incredibly easy to use, requiring very little effort to pull the handle, provided it is mounted securely. Honestly, it’s actually pretty fun to use, and there’s a certain satisfaction in how well it flattens everything from standard soda cans to taller 16oz varieties. Durability & Value: To be fair, we have this mounted outside on our deck. While it’s a great value for the money because it is mechanically indestructible, the aesthetics haven't fared as well. The paint is flaking and chipping off significantly, and rust is becoming prevalent in several areas. I expected the finish to be a bit more weather-resistant, especially since these are often mounted in garages, shops, or outdoor spaces. Verdict: Structurally, it’s a 5-star tool. If you plan to keep it outside, just be prepared for the finish to wear. Mechanically, it operates nearly as well as the day we received it.

Crushes the cans.
These can crushers are great but with a lot of use like we do it’s good for about a year and a half. But they will crush the can and barcode keeping scavengers out of the recycling cart. So well worth it every 18 months.

Great for the price
Great for the price! Works great until it doesn't. The bottom rivets loosened and the bottom ledge tilted. Mind you, its probably crushed 5-7K cans.

Works Well, But Hardware Could Be Better
This can crusher does exactly what it’s supposed to do—it's sturdy, easy to use, and crushes cans without much effort. It feels solid once mounted and definitely gets the job done. I chose to mount mine to a 2x4 instead of directly to the wall so I could keep it more portable, and that worked out really well. It’s a nice option if you don’t want to permanently install it somewhere. The only downside was the included hardware. Two of the screw heads snapped off while I was trying to secure it, which was frustrating. I’d recommend using your own higher-quality screws to avoid that issue. Overall, still a good product and I’m happy with it—just plan on swapping out the mounting hardware.

Worthy purchase and quality.
Works great. Saves a ton of room in recycle bin. Should have gotten one years ago. Good quality. Easy to install. Make sure you install it into a stud or a solid surface.

Quick and easy way to recycle
This can crusher is a lifesaver! We have it in our pool shack above our recycling bin. After entertaining we are stuck with a lot of cans. This heavy duty little tool is like a fun game for the guys...drink and crush. All of the parts are made of metal, not the easily breakable plastic crap that so many are using now. We found it best to slightly squeeze the can first, so it wuickly and easily smashes the can. Otherwise it has a little resistance. I can see this holding up for a long time, and it has literally quadrupled the room in our recycling bin.

Recycling meets aggression in a good way!
This wall-mounted can crusher has turned our recycling routine into a competitive sport. Installation was easy — attach to wall, find stud, feel powerful. Once it’s up, you too can experience the deeply satisfying CRUNCH of aluminum surrendering instantly. It’s like therapy, but louder. Gone are the days of stepping on rogue cans in the garage or playing Jenga with the recycling bin. Now? One swift pull of the handle and that bubbly little soda souvenir becomes a sleek, pancake-thin medal of environmental responsibility. Unexpected perks: • Excellent stress reliever after a long day. • Makes you feel wildly efficient. • Kids think it’s a medieval torture device for LaCroix. • Saves so much bin space you’ll briefly consider starting a sparkling water habit just to keep crushing things. It’s sturdy, dramatic, and mildly addictive. We now judge beverages based on crush performance. 10/10. Would smash again.

Fun to use, good quality, bad screws.
Crusher its self feels like good quality , Installation screws are less than desirable, actual screw head came off of screws when tightened by hand with a screwdriver and my power drill stripped the screw heads . Crusher works well, fun to reduce the size and recycle **update this company will make your experience and purchase right with no hassle. I am beyond impressed and will recommend this as a great purchase, you may not or may need different screws but either way crusher is fantastic

A Game-Changer for Recycling and Beer Drinking!
I bought the McKay Can Crusher/Smasher because I was getting embarrassed by the racket of all my empty beer cans clanging around when dumping them into the recycling bin. Enough was enough – instead of cutting back on beer, I decided to tackle the can situation head-on with this crusher. And wow, this thing is a lifesaver! Not only does it crush each can down to about 1-inch thick, saving me tons of space in the recycling bin, but it also makes the process super quiet. I can fit way more cans in the grey bin after they’ve been crushed, and the built-in bottle opener is a nice added bonus. The crusher is solidly built, with sturdy steel arms and a comfortable, cushion-grip handle. It’s easy to use and works on both 16 oz. and 12 oz. cans, plus plastic bottles. Now, I don’t have to feel guilty about my beer intake since the recycling process is so much more efficient. Happy days! The only minor issue I’ve noticed after all this use is that the handle doesn’t always stay upright anymore. Not a huge deal, though, as it still looks fine whether it’s up or down.
