Works Great!
The unit arrived in a very timely manner. Easy set up. There is an awful lot of things to like about this, especially for the price. This unit is one of the very few I found that will accommodate either a car, RV and Truck. When you set it up you can set it for RV/Truck and enter not only length but weight(for weight restricted bridges) and that all important HEIGHT . I tested it yesterday and it did warn me that on my chosen route II had a bridge with a clearance well below my stated height restriction. Very helpful, especially when one encounters unforeseen detours along a chosen route. What I especially like is that if you deviate from the units chosen route it does quickly figure out that you chose a different route and it recalculates from that point. Unlike my Subaru that absolutely insists that you make a U turn and conform to its stated route regardless of what you want. There IS some sort of WINDOWS browser that enables you to do some internet searching presumably through a phone as a data hotspot but I have not tested this. It also plays music and videos if that is of any interest. The only real negatives I found with this unit is 1. It is only Windows based so updating maps might be a problem fo MacONLY users. The company says that there is a way to do it so---just to test the Mac system I checked in with customer service to update my maps and received a IMMEDIATE cordial response that made perfect sense and assured me that based on my order no I had the latest maps. So, Customer service seems to work very well.but I have not tested it yet. 2.The programing does not include a GO HOME button like all the others. Again, there IS a work around by putting your home into the Favorites but in my case there was not enough room to enter the complete address---it works well enough but looks incomplete. I suggest lengthening the data inout to allow for a few more characters and add a Proper GO HOME button. All in all--when you compare this to units that cost far more, this is a good deal.

Very inaccurate for a GPS
Bought this Ohrex GPS to replace a several-years old Garmin which could no longer be updated (due to low memory) to guide beyond west of the Mississippi River. I was initially attracted to the large screen of the Ohrex model, and the reasonable price, and assumed the electronics would be pretty common between GPS's these days...As soon as we received the Ohrex GPS, we followed the directions in the manual and went for a drive in our own hometown and a nearby town 15 miles away. Compared to our old Garmin, the accuracy of the Ohrex was pretty bad. We use our GPS mostly when traveling to help us safely negotiate large metropolitan freeway areas when typically, several lanes of traffic are full of other vehicles traveling around 65-70mph. During our initial test of the Ohrex, it sorely missed our city hall address by 5 blocks and took us on a very round-about way to the wrong side of the building which couldn't be entered due to one-way streets. Had we been traveling in an unfamiliar city, we may have became lost. When driving to a nearby town, the navigational voice said to take a "slight left turn" on the highway approach to that area...I've never heard such a command especially when the turn was a 90 deg. left turn. What is a "slight left turn?" When entering the town on a state highway, the Ohrex directed us off that HW (where our shopping address was) and routed us unnecessarily through a tight residential area. I didn't care for any of that at all. Or that fact that the clock simply would not re-set to the correct local time regardless of which time zone I used for this area. I hate to complain, I really do, but I wouldn't trust this GPS to take me through an unfamiliar metro area at all. I just ordered a big name GPS through Amazon hoping it will be on par with the older one we can no longer use.

Good unit, GREAT Customer Service
UPDATE 2 - I was having issues with losing signal and occasionally showing me "off road" driving in a field or a parallel road, but locking back in. When I contacted the seller I was directed to download an update that should correct the issue, More important - they have always responded quickly - 1 to no more than 3 days including weekends! This GPS seems to be as good as the "Name Brand" units friends have but for an amazing price I've had this for a few weeks and traveled about 500 mi and (other than a few times it momentarily "lost signal") it has been doing well - especially when I missed a turn and had to take a "scenic" tour of Pittsburgh to get back on track without going under low bridges etc. Overall, I like this unit & love the price. I drive a 40' Class A motorhome and programmed my height, wgt. etc. and use RVTrip Wizard to plan my route. So far, this has been in line with the programs routing I like that I could program my maximum speed (62mph) and (like a mother in law in the back seat) it would tell me to slow down, this in addition to the normal monitoring of posted speed limits. Screen is large, informative but volume could be louder. We are on a multi state trip and will post again if any issues. So far we got all we expected and more! UPDATE - The more I use this, the more I get used to this, the better I like it. Feature rich and informative.

Usually you get what you pay for. Not with this.
My Rand McNally Truck GPS was getting very old and half the time the screen didn't react to my taps. I didn't want to spend another $300 to $500 for one. So I thought I'd give this one a try. I didn't expect much at this price, but had to try it. I've been using it for a week and a half now and I'm impressed. I'm an owner-operator and drive semi all over the northeast. It is a little more detailed and possibly difficult for some when it comes to setup and programming it how you want it. Other than that, I've had no serious problems with it. Like any GPS, it is not absolutely perfect. Sometimes I know that there is a better route than it suggests. If you are looking for a trucker GPS that does all the work for you so you never have to look at a map book or Google maps, good luck with that. You can do that with this, but you might be paying more in unnecessary tolls and miles and time. I use my GPS in conjunction with the Toll Guru app and Google Maps for traffic. That brings me to the one thing I do not like about this GPS so far. No traffic. It has the option to turn it on, but doesn't receive traffic via GPS. And I don't see anything for WIFI even in Windows CE. And that is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Hopefully this company sticks around and does updates for a long time. I have a nice Cobra Pro GPS which is totally useless because they stopped support on their "free lifetime map updates". I'll try to remember to do an update sometime down the road in 4 to 6 months. But I would highly recommend this GPS so far to any semi truck driver or anyone period. I haven't used it in a car, but I assume if it works for my rig, it probably works just fine for a car.

Not bad for the money but not totally accurate
The pros to this thing is the price the size and being user-friendly it’s easy to use not hard to set up very easy to see and easy to hear. I like the options of being able to switch it from an automobile to a recreational vehicle to a semi truck to help avoid places a big vehicle should not be This is exactly what I use it for since I’m a truck driver The drawbacks to this thing as with any GPS is not totally accurate so you can’t put 100% faith in the accuracy of this GPS. Now here’s the reason I only give it three stars. One of the biggest selling points was the fact it offers free lifetime upgrades for your software. I’ve had it almost a year it wasn’t accurate from the beginning even though they claimed it was and I’ve been trying to get map upgrades for the last three months and can’t seem to get that. What I’m getting is the response of there still being drawn should be available in two weeks or they’ll be available at the end of the month or the first of the month. Basically what I’m getting is lipservice. What I recommend somebody buying this no not really. I mean if you don’t mind it be an in accurate and you need something to last you a good five years then yeah go ahead but if you’re depending on it to be accurate and depending on the free upgrades I would not recommend this at all. It’s a matter of fact I just got a phone call yesterday telling me the same thing that I’ve gotten for the last three months and emails they’re not very reliable or someone’s dropping the ball or they don’t plan on doing it I don’t know what the issue is however what I can tell you is I haven’t got an upgrade yet don’t know if I’m even going to get one. Hope this helps someone make a decision. Good product bad customer service

Fair priced, accurate, and user friendly tech support needs inproving
Edited It's now been over 5 yrs of use visiting, traveling to various locations throughout the usa, with now issue what so ever. I would say the biggest negitive is the mount. After having several attempts to keepittigjt I changed it out and made it a builtin. Only other issue is trying to update map guidance system, which was the only one recent attempt made. Well we've have had it for over yr now and still satisfied with it, better than spending hundreds of dollars on a name brand. Recently I tried to contact them(ohrex)For a update, they had a Facebook group page, but it appears to have been discontinued, a shame. I'm guessing they don't have a real lifetime updates. Plan on notifying amasom quality control and inform them of the lack of customer support from ohrex, still a great deal, but don't expect a competent support team I received the Ohrex GPS as a gift from my daughter, upon using it I was impressed with the touchscreen and the power cord length. It was very easy to set the settings and program to my vehicle. Upon using it I found that the routing option took a different route than my previously one by the big name brand. In the past I would have to check the proposed Rt, with the Ohrex it automatically routed me a different way to avoid a low overpass. I'm looking forward to having it guide to different locales with confidences and ease

you get what you pay for
I bought this GPS for a trip to England because my Garmin was so ancient the maps won't update and in the past we've had issues with our phone maps losing cellular there without us realizing it, so we end up misrouted/lost. The US map that is installed is extremely outdated, despite the claim that they have the most current maps - several stores that have been in my town for at least ten years don't show up. Downloading a UK map was somewhat difficult but it did finally work, and I was able to use it in England. I don't know how outdated that one was since I was usually using it to get to town centers. My biggest problem with it is that it's extremely hard to program destinations. It doesn't (usually) just pull up locations based on what you are typing in, so you have to type out entire very long names, and that doesn't always work either. It's difficult to enter the addresses and takes a ridiculously long time. It also keeps the last destination in the memory and kept using that instead of the new one, even when I'd cancelled the previous route. Then you have to take ages entering the new one again. It did do fine as far as routing us in certain areas - it was better around Bath and Somerset than the phone's maps - but in the Cotswolds we had so much trouble getting locations to work that we gave up and mostly used the phone, which worked well there. Overall it was a very frustrating and annoying GPS and next time I will either buy another Garmin or just depend on the phone/actual paper maps.

Its a great tool for truckers... no garmin but gets the job done very well...
All of my buddies have garmin's and they would tease me because I don't. But this ended up doing stuff that Garmin doesn't do like allow me to select several different types of routes fast economical easy and short. Unlock Garmin you have to type in the truck stops along your route it doesn't just pop it up on the screen and it doesn't have the name of the gas stations that you're coming up on all the time like Garmin does but it's a really really good GPS system it hasn't let me down yet I would suggest it for truckers the speaker is loud enough that you can hear it if you don't have music plan I have mine hooked to the auxiliary because I have a Bluetooth speaker in my truck and it comes through loud through the radio sometimes too loud but it it's over the music you have to be specific when typing in addresses like sometimes people would spell the word East out but you just have to put the e or the road won't show up and it helps you spell out the city state name it shortcuts you ... makes typing in detanations faster and can do multiple stop.. i love it
