One of my favorite researchers on this subject, I have followed Dr. Stanislav Grof since I discovered his collection of essays titled "Spiritual Emergency: When Personal Transformation Becomes a Crisis," and it's a must-read! This work is extensive and helps to show various states of consciousness in the research of science and spirituality over a wide variety of sources and traditions. Very informative.

Really informational
I enjoyed learning about BPMs and applying the theory to my own life. Thankful for this wealth of knowledge. I'll be reading the sequel.

Your copy may be missing about 30 pages of content!
Grof's Way of the Psychonaut vol 1 was an amazing read, except for the printer's error in placing the folio containing pages 239-286 twice in my copy. The repeated pages replaced pp 287-334, which I thought were pretty essential in understanding the nature of spiritual emergency. I'd give it 5 stars, except for the mechanical aspect of the publisher's QC.

Brilliant!
I recently became interested in psychedelic assisted psychotherapy and have been devouring various books on the topic. This book is by far the most comprehensive and interesting read that I have come across. Stan Groff’s depth of knowledge and experience is absolutely astonishing. Definitely worth a read.

A Life's Work
I'm almost done with this book now and I couldn't be happier with it. As a long time psychonaut and a depth psychologist I deeply value Grof's timeless insights. I didn't know what to expect from this two volume series but it is now one of my favorite psychology texts.

Misleading photo of product
Picture implies purchase of both volumes, not just Vol.1

enlightening
Was really of use to know where real acceptance is coming from. One of the very especial things that I loved is no setting limits for use of your brain; it is really like a pass valve that retains universal info, working on it would allow you to evolve in a better you always, no comparison with others. Loved it!
