Downeaster Fishing Barometer 'Freshwater Series'
Product ID: 16108836
-Downeaster Fishing Barometer 'Freshwater Series' This highly polished brass barometer can be mounted directly to the wall, on a wooden board, or on a mantle stand. Historical data indicates that fish bite on a moving barometer. In other words, when the barometric pressure is either rising or falling the fish are more apt to bite! When they bite, notice all you can about the occurrence; cloud cover, barometric pressure, wind direction, location, etc. Keeping track of this in the waters you fish will make you more aware of the trends. Then all you have to do is reel 'em in!! 5-year Manufacturers Warranty.

The barometric pressure is pretty accurate. However
The barometric pressure is pretty accurate. However, don't depend on the area between 29.6 - 30.4 where it says" poor fishing".it never seems to get out of that area. I live on the water and have seen many fish caught when it says 'poor fishing"I haven't seen it in the good fishing area yet. Maybe it means 'great fishing" in those areas? I bumped it removing it from the wall and the needle moved. It reset itself in a few hours without adjustment. I check it with the local weather channel.

This is a great product if you have a place to put it
This is a great product if you have a place to put it. I have it mounted in the cabinin the boat. The barometer is very accurate at detecting how hard you will work at catching fish. I would highly recomend a Barometer ofsometype. Amazon is the best fishing outfitter.
