The Energizer Bunny of Men’s Grooming
The real deal. I’ve bought this trimmer twice in my life, and I only had to buy a new one because I lost the guard on the last one. This thing is a beast, cuts through hair and leaves a great shave with little to no nicks. It only starts to pull on hair towards the end of its life but it lasted me almost 4 years before needing replacement. Long lasting, great performance and can take a serious beating before it gives up. For 20$ it is absurdly worth its price. I won’t even bother trying the new models because the designer peaked when he created this one. Well done Phillips, I will always recommend you to anyone who will listen.

Best sensitive skin groomer/shaver there is, zero maintenance
The fact that I'm here writing a review for this product means I either love it or hate it. Well I love it. It's the first and only shaver I can use safely on my junk with literally no concern of cuts or nicks whatsoever. You can go to town and press as hard as you want and you won't cut yourself with this guy, which is better than every product I've ever tried. Not only that but it gets a very close trim, to the point where I would say most electric foil shavers cannot get this close, and only wet shaving would be better. If you have a lot of hair to start with, I will warn it's a time consuming process to get that smooth, but you can get nearly baby smooth with it after 15 minutes or so, and with the bonus of not making yourself bleed or bracing yourself for pain constantly. And it's reliable. Or at least it is for me. My purchase history shows I bought this 2 years ago and I have used it probably every other week for 2 years with few issues, plus my wife occasionally uses it as well. I recall changing the battery maybe twice in that time which is pretty unreal. One minor complaint is the included sensitive skin protector guard is cheap plastic and is slightly loose now and doesn't stay attached perfectly if I'm really aggressive with it, but if I go slower it stays on fine. However if that flimsy plastic guard breaks I would want to replace it, which probably means buying a whole new groomer just to get that little piece. I would say, don't use this as a wet shaver. It claims to do that, but it doesn't work well at all. You really need to use it on dry skin to get the best results. If your skin is damp or wet it will not glide well and won't cut very well as a result. Don't even bother using it in the shower. Use it before your shower, not after. I have been primarily using this as a nether region trimmer, but it's so good on those sensitive skin areas that I thought - after much washing, hehe - I would try it on my neckline around my beard. I always have issues with electric shavers in that area because my neck skin easily gets razor burned and irritated and red from electric shavers. Sure enough though, this magical little body groomer was able to take care of that area and get it very smooth with not a single red bump or irritation mark on my neck and no pain at all. Unbelievable. Not only does this groomer not clip your skin, it also doesn't EVER pull hairs. If you use a steady smooth technique and don't go too fast, you will literally not experience any discomfort whatsoever. The fact that this thing is AA battery powered is a bonus to me. Every single shaver I've ever used for 20 years has a rechargeable battery that goes to crap after a year or less of charge cycles, but this little $20 groomer keeps on going. And you can throw it in a travel bag and it doesn't take up much space, and you don't have to lug around the charger everywhere. Lithium-ion shavers are total junk after a year and might as well be permanently connected to a power cord anyway because you'll never be able to unplug it by then. I give this groomer an A+, and not only that it's arguably one of the best value-for-dollar items I own today. I might buy a couple more as backup just in case mine dies at some point. But so far it just keeps on working with no issues.

Solid choice, but there are better out there.
One battery is all it needs, twist off the bottom, put it in, back together, and you're good to go. Simply slide up the gray area to power it on. I found it very easy to use, and no complaints with the placement of the power control. I nicked my tender area once out of my 5 years of use, and I believe it was because the battery was dying. Its efficient, and painless. No skin irritation. It's kind of loud. My only complaint is that I can't find a replacement head. It seems to be built to last, but I didn't make an effort to maintain it, and I stupidly tried to shave my armpits with deoderant on them. The other parts seem to be working, just the head that's messed up and that's my fault. I also lost the guard years ago and that was useful, because I don't like to be bare lol, so it'd be nice to find that separately. Because of the price, I am going to recommend that you go with the OneBlade, because that does come with attachments to groom your body, and its easy to find replacement heads. Like 20ish extra dollars and its superior in my opinion. If you already have a great face razor and want something simple, cheap, and long lasting, this is a solid choice.

Old Reliable
I very rarely write reviews but this product is definitely deserving. I was using my trimmer today and noticed it didn't seem to be as sharp or cut as smoothly as it used to. After looking at when I purchased this thing, I saw that this trimmer had given me 6 years of reliable junk trimming with Zero issues! September of 2020 is when I bought it. It was $20 then. To go up $4 in 6 years? Take my money! Just bought another one and I'll be retiring my 6 year old trimmer. Not bad for regular use without ever needing to change the blades. Worth every penny.

Just Okay But Not For a Wilde Beast Like Me
If you’re a wildebeest like me then you know that manscaping is a must. As you know, I personally am a big fan of using hair removal creams for my manscaping needs. However, today I decided to try something different. This is the Philips Norelco Bodygroomer 1100 Series. I got it off amazon for $20. It comes with one AA battery, two different skin guards, and a cord to hang it up in the shower if you want. It was easy to put together, taking all of 1 minute to put the battery inside the thing. I began by removing my chest hair. The head wasn’t that big so it took a relatively long time and I did have to go over the same area 3-4 times to get all of the hair. Here is the finished product. You can see I still have skin flaps from when I lost 100lbs. If you want to know more about that check out my keto diet videos. Then it was time to go downstairs. It’s been a while so I switched to the comb for longer hair and went to work. The description said it would be comfortable, however, it was anything but. The thing kept pulling on my hair the whole time. Trust me, and that hurts when you trimming your balls. I also had to make several passes to get it to the proper length. That being said it had been a long time since I mowed my lawn so I can’t blame the device entirely. Also, for $20 I wasn’t expecting that much. The good news is there were no nicks or cuts when I was done. Afterwards, I applied some TendSkin and it hardly strung at all. Overall I would give the Philips Norelco Bodygroomer 1100 series a 6/10 an okay body groomer and not bad for the price. But honestly, I would recommend you just bite the bullet and spend a few more dollars to get a better trimmer such as the Bodygroomer 2040. Your skin will thank you later.

A "manscaper's" reliable tool!
I have been 'manscaping' well before it was as common as it is now... in fact, I remember when I kind of kept it a 'secret' as it was such an uncommon practice by most other men. I have had my fair share of groomers, even using female-oriented bikini clippers, with mostly painful results. The 'Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 1100' has easily been the best of the bunch and most likely will be the last groomer that I will ever need. Easy to use and clean, and no nicks -- yes, guys, we're even talking about along 'the seam' (if you catch my drift!). And really, that's what it comes down to when reviewing a body groomer: if can it trim the most sensitive areas of the nether-regions without nicks, cuts, or discomfort. I feel so safe and comfortable using this groomer that I can really go-to-town down-under without the fear that my other half-dozen trimmers would instill. I have had this unit for several months now and still haven't had a need to change the batteries. The only complaint that I have is that the larger safety-guard/guide broke easily while stored in my toiletry bag (it would be nice to be able to purchase replacement guides); however, that is more on me not properly storing the attachment. Besides, it's the micro-guide attachment that I mostly use anyway, which has survived much traveling inside the same toiletry bag. A 'must-buy' for anyone searching for a body groomer, especially those concerned about keeping their 'sensitive areas' safe and un-nicked. Of all the trimmers that I have used before, the 'Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 1100' is the only one that I would highly recommend. Update 4/2022: Still going strong! Blades still effective, though finally noticing needing more swipes lately; however, still no discomfort and gets the job done. I'm using this even more nowadays, so the fact that my body groomer is still reliable 4 years later is awesome!

Well Worth The Investment
This trimmer is honestly one of the best grooming tools I’ve ever used. I’ve never nicked myself and been able to use it very safely in all sensitive areas. If well cared for, I’d say it could last you a full year before you’d be inclined to replace it. I had my last one about that long. A note: cleaning it of hairs isn't an instant job if you’re committed to being thorough (~5-10 mins), but it’s a trade off I happily accept given that this product saves me so much money from waxing. I still love the long term results of a wax every now and again, but this is extremely efficient.

Will NOT cut or irritate skin - but NOT a close shaver
Hair removal matters greatly for reducing bacterial growth. It also great when you need to use creams or salves in sensitive areas. and I confess I never groomed my sensitive areas until about age 30. In hindsight, I wish I had started this practice in my teens. As shown in my second photo, the Norelco Body Groom shaver (with the green checkmark) was intended to replace my old battery powered groomer (with the red checkmark.) That old shaver went into the garbage once I had full confidence in the new Norelco. Yes, I still have the others as shown. The old groomer always nicked and cut my skin in sensitive areas like under my arms and in super private areas. And yes, so did all the other shavers in the second photo, which are higher powered. Those products are NOT purposed for sensitive areas (and one is designed for nose hair) but I thought I would mention this in case it crossed anyone's mind. The great relief was that regardless how I positioned the Norelco shaver, no harm was done to my skin. NO MORE PAIN WHILE GROOMING. So yes, the Norelco shaver will help you cut back ungainly body hair. The caveat is that you will most likely need to retrace over the same areas a few times to get an 'even' result. The Norelco shaver runs on one AA battery. My old groomer needed three. The Norelco shaver has a twist-then-pull design to open the battery compartment. It also came with a strong battery. My old shaver's battery cover broke in its first year. I had to keep it shut with a thick rubber band. In contract, this new battery containment design used by Norelco should stand the test of time. I also like that the Norelco has a shower wrist band, because frankly, if you are shaving 'hard to reach' body areas in the shower, this will stop the shaver from falling out of your grasp and smashing on the floor. For sanitary reasons, when done using all my shavers, I spritz alcohol mist on the heads to disinfect them. Then I turn it on for a brief moment to distribute the alcohol. I feel this product was worth the money spent.
