This PCIe USB 3.0 expansion card is a straightforward upgrade for a desktop that needs a couple more high-speed USB ports. Installation was simple, and I like that it does not require an additional power connection for basic use. It is especially useful for older systems, workbench PCs, or machines where the front USB ports are limited or unreliable. This is not a fancy card, but it does exactly what I needed: adds more usable USB 3 ports without much fuss. For external drives, flash drives, adapters, and general peripherals, it is a handy low-cost upgrade. I was satisfied with it.

Seems to work well in Windows but not so good in Mint linux . Well it never clamed it was compatable with linux so over all I am happy.

This USB3 card has the advantage that its power source runs horizontally. This is a huge factor when installing in a Small Form factor computer case. Many others run vertically (relative to the motherboard) and won't allow the side panel to be reinstalled. Excellent performance. Used with a USB3 external back drive. The transfer rate is much faster than what a USB2 port would provide.

This is total garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I'm a computer and network Tech with 45 years of experience. High-end Windows 11 desktop with all updates and virus-free- Simple installation, driver self-installed. The only problem is that IT DOES NOT DETECT SOME DEVICES ATTACHED TO IT. Most significantly (to me) is that it does not detect an attached RAID backup drive... All devices detected with onboard USB2.0 ports, but this does not. Waste of money. DON'T BUY THIS-

Fast n cheap,. I can even boot off a usb drive in it.

I liked the easy installation. Just remove the steel cover on your PC and slip this small board into the socket. Works great.

Good for simple storage extension purposes like single external SSDs or HDDs. Gives enough speed depending upon the PCI-E version. Complex RAID setups may not work.

My MSI motherboard was working fine but all USB ports stopped working one day. I hesitantly purchased this PCI e card and to my surprise it is working fine since 4-5 days. No driver is needed for later version of Windows 10. I have not checked speed but it seems USB 3.0 port.
