I really like the company Alaffia. They package, deliver, and sell their products in a way that is the least wasteful. (This being direct from the company, not Amazon). That being said, yes people should know that this is not going to be THE lotion for dry skin. It’s better than nothing...but extremely dry skin...there are better products for that, like ceramedx imo. THAT being said, this lotion for what it is I really like! I’ve been using this lotion regularly for years so I know what I’m getting into. It’s a lighter lotion, so you won’t feel greasy AT ALL after use. It goes on easily and absorbs fast. It’s a great summer time lotion you can use daily and feel good. I like to use this in between my heavier, more expensive lotions. It stretches out those good affects while saving me money. (Another great things Alaffia is very cost effective - I get the 32oz lotion at the health food store for $10.)

I am soooooooooo happy I did not 'listen' to the negative reviews about this product. :) It is defintiely thick enough for me and my skin!!!!!!! And the scent is a lovely Lavender scent, not overwhelming at alllll, just peaceful and calming. I am using this lotion every day since it arrived and it is an excellent moisturizing lotion for alllllllllll skin; especially for my hands. I just love it and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a vegan and cruelty-free lotion. This lotion is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! :) Of course, everyone has their own opinions; but, in this case, this lotion, in my opinion, has been overly criticized.............I ignored the negative opinions and went with my instincts and ordered it anyway.............and now, am just soooooo happy I did. It is great, for sensitive skin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For any skin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You won't be sorry. :)

While I love the cruelty free aspect of this lotion, I was hoping for a very hydrating shea butter moisturizer. I found it to be very thin and watery feeling and I ended up mixing oil and other more hydrated lotions with it to help my winter skin.

Nice moisturizer with pleasant scent. Only complaint is that after several months the pump was no longer able to deliver the thickened lotion which was clumped at the top of the bottle. Adding water and shaking well helped.

Cuando la apliqué por primera vez no me gustó su textura, se ve como gruesita, pero al aplicarla se siente como muy aguada, poco espesa, sin embargo, aunque su textura sigue sin gustarme, me parece que cumple su función de hidratar muy bien y el olor es muy agradable

I love this body lotion, however it was difficult to get it out of the bottle since it was so thick. When I finally got it to flow, I filled up another container that was more pliable. Now I keep this container on my nightstand. Love the scent!

I want to love this but I can't say that I do. First, the scent is something that I need to get used to. Secondly the consistency of this lotion is pretty thin to me considering that it's supposed to be good for dry skin. I usually use Shea Moisture lotions because of their lotions having a thick consistency and pleasant scent. I'll update this review after have I used this lotion for a lite while but I'm not all the impressed at the moment. Update - I decided to use this lotion for a week before coming back to update this review. This left me very disappointed. My skin absorbed this lotion very quickly and it still left my skin dry. I ended up giving this product to my kids since their skin isn't as dry so hopefully they'll make some use of this. If you have skin on the dryer side you might want to look at a different product.
