What is the pin mapping from the rj45 to db9 pins?

I'm sorry but I don't know what the pin mapping is. Because they come as a matched pair of adaptors it didn't matter to me. I used one at each end of a standard 25 foot Cat5e patch cable to make a long DB9-Male to DB9-Female cable and it has been working with no problems for over 6 months. I have previously used other similar adaptors and as you probably suspect there is no standardization. That is why this matched set was appealing.

The RJ45 to RS232 cable is not for video. A DSub15 is the standard connector for VGA video. RS232 is a serial data standard.

Will this work with any usb-rj45 cable with your adapter? so far i cannot get it to work. my cable usb-rj45 works fine, but this doesn't. any ideas

Your question does not make any sense in this context. You say your "cable USB-RJ45 works fine" but you asked this about an RJ45 to RS-232 adaptor. Why would you even expect it to work? RS-232 and USB have nothing in common.

Funktioniert einwandfrei. Adapter funktioniert über Ethernetkabel, nicht über Ethernet. Aber das ist ja klar gewesen. Gute Ware.
