MD Sports Air Hockey Table with Arcade Electronic Scorer, Perfect for Family Game Rooms

The MD Sports Air Hockey AWH090_017M has awesome electronic sound/scoring, LED lighting effects, and instructions. I have put together a few entertainment products as a dad and this product was easy to assemble and is a blast to play. It came via freight trucking to our door (it's heavy). Had a slight dent in the outer box on the corner, however, product inside was not damaged. Bottom line - the packaging was through and protected the product very well. Unboxing took two people. Make sure that once you select a lay-down area for putting unit together the box is upside down otherwise it will need to be flipped to install leg supports, etc.. The instructions are easy to follow and includes a parts tray with parts numbered to the instructions (see pic). Having a parts tray made the install easier and less time consuming. The simple hints found throughout the installation guide make the product install less stressful. No redo's as one goes along. On our unit the predrilled holes matched up including the overhead electronic scoring bridge. The electronic sound and scoring bridge is really cool. If you get caught up in the play - the electronic scoring will keep you on track (parents will like this feature - less sibling disagreements). It includes three different time modes and an option to turn off sound. The electronic LED light effects are great and carry over into the overhead scoring bridge. This unit is great and I highly recommend it (even for those with less experience putting items together). Table took approximately 2 to 3 hours to assemble with coffee breaks included. You won't be disappointed and the excellent customer support is great.

12/26/23 - The table comes in an a huge box weighting 295lbs, literally took me two hours and multiple trash cans to dispose of all the packaging materials. I finally get the table all setup on Christmas Eve and none of the lights or sound work. Very disappointing for a $1,300 table on Christmas Eve. I call MD Sports first thing Tuesday morning after Christmas, wait about a half hour even though I called at their opening time, and spoke to Jennifer. Who was not very apologetic and told me they will not send anyone to fix it, just send me the part with 4 screws when it’s back in the stock, but she has to check when that will be, and will call me back and email me when she has an eta in 24-48 hours. It’s now Friday night, no call or email, I called MD Sports within their business hours (they work on pacific time) it says they are closed. Jennifer also told me they are just a part supplier or something like that when I asked if they would come out and fix so I’m not feeling very good about this company and them standing behind their product. 1/4/2024 - Stephanie from MD Sports finally got back to me a week & a half later (not her fault) and now it’s not about getting the part into their warehouse now, but the part actually being manufactured. They want to call me back in 2-3 weeks to give me an ETA on delivery. Just an awful company who doesn’t meet their own deadlines or do what they say they are going to do. I am returning the table. Amazon btw says you need to ship the item back in the original packaging, which is impossible as with the staples and amount tape they use, you basically need to destroy the box to get the table out of it.

The table is great. Everyone from kid to baby boomers love it and have had many hours of fun. The air flow is perfect and the disk moves fast and freely. Lights and sound on the score keeper are just a plus as well as the timer for games. Was able to score free instal which means they sent out 2 people at no cost to me to put it together. This table has some weight to it for sure. Was able to find it on an Amazon special price and with free instal you can not beat the deal. Yes, go ahead to buy one if you are looking for a wonderful fun time with family and friends. One last thing the sound stopped, called customer service they sent within two day parts needed. Also found that the installers just didn't have a connections pushed in and clicked in place. Great service to match a good table.

We searched long and hard for an air hockey table and finally made the decision to purchase this as a Christmas gift. We were so excited to give this to the kids, only to be disappointed when it was assembled and noticed a big crack on the playing surface. It was a bit deflating on Christmas and we were frustrated, however Amazon customer service was fantastic and we were able to exchange this for a new one. We have the new one, it is in perfect condition and it is a ton of fun to play on. The kids love it and so do their friends, as we can tell by the amount of noise coming from the basement. I would highly recommend this table as the light up feature is awesome, it looks really cool with the lights off, and four people can play at the same time which is great when there a e a lot of people over. Other than the fact the original was delivered damaged and the hassle of taking it apart and shipping it back (which is why i gave it 4 stars), it is great and highly recommend if you have the space for a bigger table and don't feel like shelling out thousands for an arcade style experience.

After reviewing all the products available, I got to admit I was skeptical at first to spend the money on this air hockey table, but MD Sports helped put that to ease. Skill level to assemble is about a 6 from a scale of 1-10. You will need a second person, but I was able to muscle it through myself (not recommended). It took me about 45mins to an hour to assemble and affix all small attachments. My kids were off any enjoying this table in no time. I've now own this table for a few weeks and I have to say, the table is sturdy and well designed to achieve loads of abuse from kids 7 and up. I would recommend for anyone who is looking at getting their kids a gift or even as adults, this is pretty entertaining.

I purchased this product last week and it was delivered today ahead of scheduled which was very efficient. It took about 2 hours to put together and so far I don't see any major damage. I gave it 3 stars because I have already filed a claim to fix the scoreboard and the lights as it appears to have a shortage and keeps turning off by itself and not keeping track of the score. Also, some of the screws were difficult to install due to its positioning with the banners primarily. Lastly, the motor doesn't appear to be working too well. The puck is not gliding well during play and it makes the game boring. The table itself looks nice but unless MD can fixed these issues I will be returning for a full refund. Disappointing because I do like the table and my kids want it. Update 4/12/2023 - MD sports sent me a replacement motor that I had to install myself because they don't provide on site service and upon inspecting both motors I came to the conclusion they were both useless. The motor is not high quality or even good quality for the price of the table. I would completely recommend not purchasing the 7.5 MD hockey table. You will most likely be utterly disappointed. And if you have children who love to play prepare for them to stop using it. Now I know there are some good and bad reviews on this product and I tried to remain optimistic but unless MD starts improving the overall service to its parts its a huge money loss for the consumer. And never chat with Amazon unless you want to waste your time. I was transferred 4 times and each time I was guaranteed to be assisted. The only assistance I received was my brain telling my thumb to end the chat!

The table was packaged very well for shipping. The table has no dead or slow spots. My table's sensors weren't working and when I called the company it was very easy to get the replacement and it was relatively quick to receive considering they were out of stock of the sensors. Anyways I highly recommend you buy this table if looking at an air hockey table. I find it a great value for the money paid. This is not cheaply made at all. It did take about an hour to assemble but the instructions were quite clear and left no guessing.

After a pain in the butt assembly process we finally were ready to use this air hockey table. After about a month the scoreboard stopped working...which was annoying in itself. The bigger issue, that makes the table worthless, is that the edging that the puck bounces off of is a thin strip of mdc or some other material attached to very cheap particle board. After about 50 games the strip detached revealing disintegrating cheap particle board. Emailed their customer support 5 or 6 times with no response. Called support line listed on Amazon that is disconnected. Now I'm out over $1k for 50 games and a worthless table that I will need to pay someone to haul away.
