Love it!
2022 UPDATE: Still going strong using this little kettle now that business travel is back up and running post-COVID! I did discover recently though that mine had a slight defect in the base where the handle attaches. I was able to get in touch with the sellers and in no time, the issue was fully resolved. Outstanding customer service! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I travel a lot and can’t believe I didn’t think to find this sooner! Most hotels or rentals have some sort of of tea/coffee setup (questionable quality but generally present); however last year, I found myself in staff housing (similar to an extended stay) for my company overseas in a developing country for 10 days with zero options in my room other than a mini fridge—no microwave, nothing. I was armed with Starbucks VIA and tea and hot cereal packs and other essentials bc I am all about my morning routine to start the day without leaving my room, and nothing to make it with. Fortunately I was able to borrow a kettle from a colleague living there; however, when I found out I was going to a similar place again this year, I went straight to Amazon to find a travel kettle bc I didn’t want to be caught off-guard again. Lemme say, this thing was AWESOME. It traveled super well, took up no space, and was exactly what I needed. It heated water fast, had an auto shut-off that kicked in loooong before the water would boil out, and was a breeze to use. The dual voltage is incredibly convenient too. There were a few other cheaper models available but this was the only one I saw that folded flat, and so I was willing to pay extra for something that packed easier. The case is a durable one and doesn’t add a lot of bulk. I can see myself getting a LOT of use out of it to come—travel, camping, office, you name it.

Best travel kettle hands down!
Genius little kettle. Fills my 16oz travel mug and heats up quickly. Packs down in clever little case. Combined with travel mug & pour over from Cafe Crush Club (also in clever little case), I will never travel without it again. Bravo👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Convenient, but heavy
I've had this for a couple of years. I am a full time traveler using only a carryon backpack. It does take up a lot of room and is heavy. I am constantly debating whether to ditch it or not. However, it gets constant use. I have fresh made coffee and oatmeal in my room instead of going out and paying for breakfast. I can also have a cup of tea, etc in the evening. It has saved me so much money. The silicone taste did take a while to vanish. Boiling some vinegar in it helped. It has held up very well. The case helps protect in when I travel. The biggest thing is to remember to set the button on the bottom for the right voltage of the country you are in. The cord/plug are awkward to pull out from the unit, so when I am pouring the boiling water, I usually unplug from the wall. The cord is very short, so I usually have to unplug it for safety reasons to pour the water. The water gets hot fairly quickly. I do recommend this product, but wish they would make a lighter model.

Fabulous Portable Kettle
I love this little kettle! It's perfect for traveling. It's often so hard to get hot water at hotels - they tell you to brew your tea using the in room keurig which gives you disgusting old coffee water no matter how many times you run it through. I finally broke down and bought this kettle and I could not be happier. It's compact, efficient, not too heavy, and works great. It makes enough hot water for one pot of tea. It also can switch between US and European voltages, which was perfect for my recent trip to Italy. Huge fan!

Doesn't work for trucks
This is cute but it doesn't work for trucks. People like me searching for something for a truck will be disappointed.. Even though our truck has outlet 110V still it doesn't work. But at home, oh boy, it is super fast and cute. Customer service was strict, teaching me how to read lables before ordering.. But I don't think either web description was precise enough, at least it never said it won't work for trucks even with 110V.. Lol. But thanks for sending refund, I do appreciate it.. 🙂

good little kettle
I am happy with this little kettle so far. Boils fast (3 to 4 minutes). my one beef with it is that it doesn't hold the water at a good temp. if you fill it up to the line and then just leave it on, it will sputter out the top. so yes, it will keep your water hot, but you'll have a splatter mess. overall a 9/10 & if it breaks, I'll update the review. david from the united states.

Noxious chemical offgassing
20 year amazon shopper and have never been moved to write a review until now. This product should not be legally sold in the US. I don't know what kind of carcinogen factory these come out of, whether its phtalates or PCBs or BPAs or Agent Orange that steams out of this thing when it heats up but I tried to use it and felt like I'd have cancer the following morning if I got too close. Not sure what the FDA or State of California knows this to be, but my nose knows this to be HAZARDOUS!!!

Practical
The kettle is very practical and useful for travel. It’s compact and convenient, yet holds enough water for approximately three cups. A great addition to your travel essentials.

Silicone breakdown
I bought this little kettle for an upcoming vacation. What I loved the most about it was the hard shell compact case and the portability of the kettle. I, like others wanted to use it in the hotels where we were staying while travelling. When I purchased it, I cleaned it thoroughly and tested it at home…..it worked great so I put it away until my trip. I brought it with me on my trip and used it to make a cup of tea, which I take black. The tea had an odd chemical taste to it that I had not tasted the first time I used the kettle. The next time I used it I noticed that there appeared to a scum on the water and in the tea ( I threw the tea & water out). I believe what is happening (others have mentioned the same thing) is that the silicone is breaking down into the water as it heats up. I’m so disappointed because it is a really nifty little kettle and was perfect for my needs. Not sure why a lot of other folks are not having the same problem, I can only think that there may have been a change in production of later models. Buyer beware

The silicone kettle doesn’t have FDA LFG. Unsafe for making hot water and drink
I bought this little kettle January 2025 for an upcoming vacation on May 2025. I saw it’s foldable with hard shell compact case and I wanted to use it in the hotels while travelling. When I purchased it, I cleaned and tested it at home it worked ok. so I put it away until my trip now . I used it to boil water. I found the water had an odd chemical smell and taste, some small floating objects on the water. I then pull the water out and reboil water again for 7 times . But the smell and floating object are still there. I checked there’s not FDA LFGB silicone. I believe believe what is happening is that the silicone is breaking down into the water as it heats up. The seller used unsafe material to make the kettle. I think the seller would not be willing to accept my return because it hasn’t four months since I bought it. But I hope people can read my comments and be aware that the kettle is not safe to boiling water and drinking as the silicone material doesn’t have FDA LFG.

It does the trick but it's small and you must be very careful with it once water has boiled
Bought this for camping. It's very small and therefore you don't get a lot of hot water at a time. Just beware its collapsible by design and the handle does not seem to fit firmly in place so it's a bit dicey as you move the kettle or pour the boiled water.
