I bought a used set of Sony wh-1000xm3 headphones, absolutely mint condition, but thought I would get new ear pads for them as they felt a bit too soft and not as much of the "memory" left in the foam, albeit, still very usable. I decided to go with these ones as there's fairly good reviews and no major complaints about bad quality etc. My slight concerns were A. Would I break my headphones when trying to fit the pads , and B. Is sound quality and noise cancelling be compromised with these? First, the replacement is really easy. They provide instructions and a wee spatula to lever the plastic rim with the pad on it, out of its plastic fixings. Takes about 5min for first one and about 2min for other when you get a feel for it. Meant to say that they are pretty much identical to Sony's pads in quality, only a bit thicker with a slightly smaller interior where your ears will be. That made me a bit apprehensive as far as comfort and sound was concerned. So, I replaced one and put some music on to hear and feel the difference. Yes, there definitely seems to be a difference in that the new pad attenuates the highs but delivers a solid bass, but I was kind of expecting that anyway. The noise cancellation was slightly better with the new pad! After fitting the other one I reset the pressure for noise cancellation and didn't even change the EQ settings because I actually really like the sound I'm getting. It's impossible to know at this point how comfortable these will be for long periods but after half hour they feel fine. My ears still fit into the cups, just a bit more snug now. Overall, at this point I definitely recommend these if you need new pads. Quality is comparable to originals and, of course they change the sound but nothing that a small tweak with EQ can't fix if you don't like it. Good quality at a good price!

Great fit and easy to replace.

These are very good replacement ear pads for the XM3's. My originals were long since gone - all the leatherette was coming off and the pads had gone flat - noise cancelling had taken a big hit. Replaced with these within a couple of minutes - nice and easy with the supplied tool. As I've only just replaced them, I can't comment on longevity (though the quality looks and feels good as an initial impression), but the comfort is very much improved and the noise cancelling is an awful lot better than it was! As we can't get original pads, something like these are proving to be a very good alternative to my head and ears. If yours are as bad as mine were, I think you'll be very happy.

I have had my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones for about four years without any issues. About six months ago, I started experiencing an odd noise coming from the left speaker due to my ear pushing up against it, as my old earpads had lost all rigidity. I was considering buying a new pair of headphones when I decided to first replace the earpads to see if that would rectify the problem. I am delighted to report that the new earpads haven't just solved the speaker issue, but I feel as if I have a brand new set of headphones thanks to the new replacement pads. I was expecting there to be some new foam covers to protect the speaker, but I just reused the old foam speaker covers. Highly recommend this product and would definitely buy it again.

My headphones had become uncomfortable, I could feel the drivers pressing against the cartilage of my ear. Despite owning them for YEARS the pads looked in good condition but they were evidently lacking cushioning. I took a punt on new pads having done research on them. The replacements came the same day. They were easy to install using the tool included. They have breathed new life into my headphones. Comfort and noise cancellation have shown a marked improvement. I love them and they're a fraction of the cost of getting new headphones, which I had considered.

Comfortable fit and easy to install. Slightly diminished sound quality and noise cancellation. The biggest drawback is the durability, and the pads have not lasted even two years.

These are some replacement pads for Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones. The stock earpads are pleather, and were starting to crack from years of heavy use. I like the feel of fabric earpads (or liners), so decided to give these a try. Installation was easy with the snap-on rear clips, and only took a few minutes. Once on, they stay in place and don't fall off, like some replacement earpads that use adhesive. The material is a soft black microfiber, and it feels like memory foam inside. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to switch out their 1000xm3 earpads for fabric ones.
