Heated Eyelash Curler w/AC Adaptor Cult Favorite~!

I don't often post reviews, but when I do it is after I have owned and used a product for a while. I feel this allows me to provide a good, honest user review of the product rather than just putting up a fast, new user review. I purchased my Hot Lashes in March 2017, and I consider it to be one of the best beauty buys of my life. It works as well almost a year later as the day I bought it. Since I started using it, my lashes are longer, thicker and curl beautifully. I used to use two hands to curl my lashes just for the extra oomph. But, in squeezing so tightly, I would break off my lashes and pull them out, and I never realized the damage I was doing. Now, I start heating my Hot Lashes before I begin to put on my makeup, and it's nice and warm when curling my lashes...with one hand. They have grown out longer and stronger, and the curl stays in longer during the day. I wish I had found this little unit many years ago! A couple more things you can do to help with your lash routine: warm your mascara just prior to use. You can place the closed tube in hot water or put it on your body when you start putting on makeup, either way will warm it enough to thin out the mascara so you don't apply clumps of the thick stuff. Also, get a bare spoolie and brush a little castor oil on your (clean) lashes once or twice a week, your lashes will love you for it! Do some Google research on this little trick to make sure you get the right oil, and don't overdo it. Be patient and you will eventually see results. :) One last thing...Luminous Lashes is serious about customer service. I sent an email in the evening and received a response the same day. This is my second Hot Lashes unit. My first lasted several years. When it finally died, I ordered this one. I like the plastic cover. Nothing curls like Hot Lashes. I've tried many small battery units in the $10 - $15 range and I've only ever found 1 that worked at all. The Hot Lashes unit is the best. It heats quickly, and curls lashes in seconds with all day lasting power. It sometimes gets a little too hot. If so, just hold it away from the heating unit a few seconds so it is cool enough to use.

I have those eyelashes that stick straight out and although I curl them with a standard eyelash curler I only get so much curl and it doesn't last very long (better with waterproof mascara). Now that I have this little wonder my lashes stay curled ALL day long no matter what kind of mascara I wear or even if I don't wear mascara. Woohoo!!!! I click it down for it to heat while I do my undereye concealer and any plucking and then by the time I'm done with that the little red blinky light is solid and off I go with the curling. I do wait a second when I take it out of the unit and test it on my hand to make sure it's not going to burn the tender skin around the eye. I'm a BIG fan although I'm nervous from other reviewers that this thing is going to croak since I've only had it a few weeks. Please don't die on me my little miracle worker!!!

I bought this eyelash curler on april 5th, 2012 and its been a almost a month since I have it and so far is still working. I have purchased curler before from different sellers and normally they will only last between 2-5 months depending on manufacturer and quality. The heater of the curler takes about 2 minutes to heat and once is ready the red light stays red and you know you are ready to use it. The problem with this curler is the curler itself which is very bad quality and doesn't fit or curl nice because of it poor shape. I have a shu uemura curler that i bought in ebay for a dollar and its quality its outstanding! It fits perfectly in eye and curls nicely.It has last me for a year and is still working as new. The other problem with this curler is that the adaptor stops working after a couple months.With this particular purchase the adaptor is still working 1 month after purchase.The best thing this curler has its the heated machine but is very pricey and its job can be substituted with a simple hair dryer. I bought this curler because I can curl faster than with hair dryer and the black pad of curler doesn't melt like when heating curler with a regular hair dryer.Overall I give this curler 2 stars because it does the job somewhat good yet price is high, durability short and bad curler. I love this product except for a couple of issues. One being that my eyelash curler won't stay down so I have to put a piece of paper in the slot and wedge the handle in between to keep it down. The second is this particular device gets extremely hot making my curler so hot that it will literally cause a severe burn to your eyelid. I've heard that this is not normal and that its suppose to get hot, just not that hot. The device has been this way since the day I received it. Love the concept though because it curls better than any other curler. I'm sure I have a defective device and others won't have this problem.

Let me start by saying that the first thing I pulled out of the box was a little slip of paper that says Lid not included because they were breaking during shipping. Then why isn't this mentioned in the product description? When I get ready for work, my little ones are running around, touching my stuff, and so on. Now I have a little piece of HOT metal for them to burn their fingers on! So thanks for not providing the lid. Now onto the actual product. Other reviewers have had problems lining the curler up with the base to get it to turn on. I had no problems with this. It fit perfectly. It did heat the curler up, but the directions says it takes 90 seconds to heat and will automatically turn off after 3 minutes. The curler did not get warm after the entire 3 minutes, I played around with it thinking I was putting it in the wrong spot and couldn't get it to heat up. I did finally hold it against the warmer and got it to heat. YEAH! Now I have a warm eyelash curler! Let's curl these babies..... NOPE, the curler itself sucks, with or without heat. It is a weird shape, or my eyes are shaped weird, too straight, not enough curve. And it barely opens making it hard if not impossible to get all of your lashes in. Might be sending back. My hair dryer does a much better job heating up my favorite tweezermans!

Soooooo much better than the little hand-held cheap units that have your thumb on the slider up against your cheek so you can't see what you're doing, making grabbing your eyelashes REALLY awkward. I had one of these for almost 15 years, a 3-D cell battery one, that I loved. Finally died. It does take a little bit to heat up, and the curler snaps into place for heating, where my old one just sat on the cradle, but I hope this works as well and lasts as long.

I had hot lashes about 15 years ago and absolutely loved it so I was so surprised to see here on Amazon. I ordered it immediately and I am back in love with it like I was 15 years ago. it is the best eyelash car on the market. My lashes are short, thin and go straight down, but when I use this there very long and stayed curled all day long. I use "Tart" mascara and that seems to work well as well. I also use latisse and my eye lashes grow longer with that. Adding Hot Lashes it is a win win for me. I will never be without hot lashes again.
