Unie Glass Tumbler, 11.125 ounces / 33 cl, Set of 6

Great beverage glasses! We've owned the Unie 11 oz tumblers (as well as the 7 oz tumblers) for nearly four years and we are exceedingly happy with them. I love that the bottoms are FLAT so they come out of the dishwasher with no puddles on the bottom. We have bounced a few but none have broken--we still have 12 of each size. They stack nicely and 11 oz are a great size for mealtime--especially for milk drinkers. (How many people drink 16-20 oz of milk at a meal? If people desire more, they may refill.) Wish we'd owned them sooner!

This is almost the same review I gave for the 11.5 oz Chopie. My significant other is a research-aholic and has wanted Duralex for some time now. We made the purchase and are very satisfied. I haven't dropped these (crossing fingers) so I don't know if they are as durable as advertised but they are very sturdy and have a good amount of heft to them. They arrived in great condition and in the specified time. I do have one minor dislike but, it did not constitute reducing the rating to lower than the 5. The Chope 11 ounce glass does not quite match the look of the Chope 19 ounce glass. The 19 3/4 oz is a lot squattier than it appears in pictures and more so than the 11 1/2 oz. I purchased the 19 oz first and it grew on me then, I purchased the 11 oz. The 11oz was more the shape I expected from the 19 oz. When they are side by side I am reminded of how squatty that 19 oz glass is but I still love both sizes even if they do not have the very exact same look. (If I can figure out how to add a customer picture I will but the measurements below will have to do for now.) The 11 oz glass is ~4 3/4 inches high and the diameter is 3 inches at the top and just under 2 1/2 at the base. The 19 oz glass is ~6 3/4 inches high and the diameter is 3 1/2 inches at the top and just about 3 3/4 at the base. These are not EXACT measurements...but very close and gives you a general idea.

I needed an 8oz glass to measure drinks per day and this 8.75oz glass is perfect without over filling it. The set of 6 replaces glassware that didn't survive being dropped from aging and/or clumsy hands. This sturdy glass is heavier to hold, you 'know' you've got a glass in your hand. It is also easy (narrow enough) to grip for unsure hands, though probably too heavy for small children. We are very glad to have found this well made product from our allies in France, thank you! I will definitely purchase again from this supplier. Highly and happily recommended!

Stylish and durable glassware feels good in the hand and works for everyday life. Pick the size you want/need and don't look back. We've been using this unadorned timeless style for 20+ years, and it's nice to know I can get more when the occasional dropped glass doesn't make it back to the cupboard.

The outside bottoms have no puddles after running the dishwasher. One of my set of six can be rocked slightly when set down empty, and two of six wobble for a few seconds. One sheet of copy paper stops the rocking; it takes two sheets to stop the wobble. I'm going to use them because they're better than what I had (durable, and with conical shape to help avoid slips), and for a reasonable price.

I've searched all corners of the known universe for glasses like this. The design is simple and sleek, perfect for virtually any decor. They're classy enough for entertaining, but plenty sturdy for everyday. Yes, they're BIG, so they'll hold a full pint of beer with a healthy head. They'll hold your entire breakfast smoothie. They'll hold a cold drink and plenty of ice without a need for refills. I like that they're correctly balanced height-to-width, and not overly tall or tapered. This makes them slightly wider than normal tumblers, but they feel great in the hand and won't tip easily. The glass is neither too thick nor too thin. The beaded rim is just perfect width for the mouth (something I'm weirdly picky about). I should have ordered two sets, as they're now my favorite glasses. For those who haven't had tempered glassware before, these tumblers are extra sturdy. I've dropped tempered tumblers on hardwood floors and countertops, and they're so strong they usually just bounce. But should they happen to break, they'll "pop" (shatter) into small pebbles, which aren't as sharp and dangerous as regular glass shards to clean up or dig out of the disposal. I'm very pleased I found these!

These glasses seemed great, but I cannot in good conscience recommend them. One of them practically exploded in my hands today after having them only 2-3 years. Quality glassware should last forever unless they are dropped. I stacked 3 of them while walking over to the cabinet to put them away after washing. They would not release easily so I gently rocked the top and middle glasses back and forth to release them from the stack. The middle glass then suddenly and instantaneously broke in my right hand (the only hand that was holding it, my left hand was on the top glass), sending glass shards flying in an explosion-like manner. It's not like a crack or two formed on the edges because it was dropped on the counter. The glass violently shattered while set down on the counter in my hand, with the bits flying every which way. I even found glass pieces in the next room while cleaning the mess. Something is clearly not right with the design that poses a serious safety issue. Luckily I only suffered one minor puncture and a few scrapes, but I can imagine much worse injuries being possible.
