A great alcohol alternative
The nightcap drink is excellent. I think some of the reviews and ratings are a little unfair. Yes I do think it’s a little pricey but it definitely delivers on the euphoria I experience and I get a great nights sleep. The valerian root doesn’t always have an effect on some individuals but this is a great tasty alternative to alcohol any day of the week for me.

Enjoyable Gingery Tipple
As a dedicated Whisky drinker I noticed recently that there arent many alcohol free options open to a malt fan. I decided to sample some of the options out there. 1st things 1st.... this is not Whisky nor intended as a whisky replacement. It is however a drink that can be poured into your fav whisky glass and enjoyed in an evening. My thoughts; On the nose, Gingerbread, earthy, roots xmas spice. 1st Sip, instant realisation of smooth mouthfeel, with burst of earthy gingery flavour Finish, an amazing Ginger afterburn, enjoyable, lengthy & more-ish. So that was my 1st taste of an alternative spirit, I have to say i'm quite impressed and poured several of these one after the other into my Glencairn. I am a big fan of sherried malt whisky and have tasted a vast range of pricey malts over the years. Keeping an open mind about alternatives seems an interesting area to explore. I realise that there will likely be a lot of reviews with people instantly disliking non alcoholic alternatives but I think if you keep in mind this is in a genre of its own, its not trying to be anything, in fact due to its plant based composition I think it really is verging into its own territory of drink. I should note that I had a great sleep the evening after sampling, something that this bottling markets as an advantage hence the name Nightcap, was that a coincedance? I dont know but the botanists who put this together seem to claim it assists sleep. I think my initial thought with purchasing somethings so different to my usual whisky tipple was this: Was I purchasing a bottle of juice? after my 1st sip and noticing the thicker consistency It definitely isnt juice, it feels more special, more luxurious. Overall I would say this is in a category of its own and tbh I quite like it. In fact im keen on trying the other products from this company. As with all things every individual will have their own taste preferences, I happen to really like Ginger so naturally I would warm to this drink due to its Gingery notes and mild afterburn.

It does something
I've seen a lot of reviews here, a lot of them bad and all the good ones only seem to focus on the taste. So I thought I'd write my own opinion here. I've only had two drinks so far, but I can already say it's something I like and find quite pleasant. There is a very noticeable change in my perceptions and feelings. It's marketed as something to make you feel more lively, which it may actually do when in the right setting. Almost immediately, that my visual perception had changed. I felt my visual cortex had become alive and I was immensely more focused on my visual perception and experience. Like I could stare and kind of meditate at a simple image for hours. I did it shortly before downloading a new computer game so I found it somewhat helpful in keeping me engaged long enough to understand the basics of the game. This would probably be good at parties if you're feeling a bit sluggish and want to correct that. Taste wise, I don't think it was that bad. It tasted a bit like Bloody Mary, but less disgusting. I don't think I've tried Bloody Mary before (maybe only once), but it's basically tomato juice, which is revolting. This probably tastes a bit more like Bloody Mary than tomato juice because Bloody Mary probably has other ingredients to make it sharper, like the Livener drink. It's a bit much to enjoy for anything other than special occasions, though. It's nice, but not something so powerful and effective that it'll last for ages and is really worth the money. It's a nice novelty gift for someone who likes feeling sober, but finds parties boring. I'm a recovering alcoholic, so this might be good for family meals.

Better varieties of tonics on the market - give this a miss
Being a frequent weekend drinker with a busy work schedule I thought it was time to try something new that wouldn't leave me with a 3 day hangover. In summary, I'm sorry I bothered. The box for my 3 spirit drink arrived nicely packed in shredded brown paper. Holding it above my head to the light and looking through the dark glass I could see a dimly glowing mixture welcoming me in. Alas it was a Thursday and having work at 7am the next day I decided to hold off given the promised effects of feeling "A little floaty and flirty from damiana, tulsi and cacao that combine to lift spirits and reduce inhibitions. After three doses, you'll be the life and soul of the party." Saturday afternoon arrived so enough however and I had a BBQ planned. Finally no more hangovers I thought as I lifted the dark bottle down from my shelf and cracked open the seal. I tentatively poured out a shot into a tall shot glass and admired the dark pond water appearance. I then sniffed it and enjoyed the unusual aniseed aroma and drank it in one. The taste wasn't completely unpleasant, it was somewhere between sambucca that has been sitting in the sun for a while and prune juice but neither the less it wasnt great either. I continued to set up the bbq awaiting social excitement and lower inhibitions but after 10 mins decided that perhaps I needed to meet the recommended 3 doses so went back and drank 2 more shots. Half an hour later my friends began to arrive and I proclaimed I'd found the answer to our hangover problems proudly showing them my new bottle. Noone else wanted to try it. But knowing genius isn't always appreciated in its time I stuck to my guns having another 2 shots along with a burger. Eventually I felt a little upbeat - im not sure if it was the fact I was over half a bottle deep or a placebo given the sum of money I paid. So I took another shot for good measure. Unfortunately by 7 pm my friends were certainly much more merry than me so I decided it was time to finally call this experiment to an end and go and buy another tonic. Buckfast tonic wine it was called. As soon as that juicy nectar hit my tongue I rapidly became the life and soul of the party. The very effect I had been trying to achieve for the last 6 hours. And at a fraction of the price. Perhaps the Benedictine monks have divine intervention on their side - Im sad to say three spirits do not. Thanks for the experience guys but won't be trying again

Okay product - Premium price
Purchased through amazon as it was cheaper than buying direct & free next day delivery. Going direct would pay postage and slower delivery. Knew it was only 500ml and pricey before purchasing but was expecting more due to price. Was hoping to use dailly to aid with sleep and relaxation. Probably a good product for some. I did enjoy it, would compare experience to very sweet, flat firey ginger ale or cordial. Personally would potentially buy again if it was at least half the price. At current price, I wouldn't. Stick to my cheaper rest/sleep aids. I have made similar products at home using tinctures and or liquid versions of ashwagandha, lemon balm, ginseng, valerian, ginger etc (with as good or better results) This would be less hassle but costly for amount.

Nice product but something has changed in the ingredients
I really like this product and have purchased 3 time but has been delivered monthly but something has changed. I miss the cayenne pepper. It has a different pepper now and does not have the same effect for me. Why swap the pepper man.

Brilliant
I've tried the nightcap to settle me of an evening, I love it mixed with fresh orange juice. What an absolute game changer for me instead of alcohol. It's best sipped before bed, and the calm sleepy feeling is fantastic. I suffer with a busy mind and this certainly has calmed it and I get a fantastic sleep. It's only been used twice and both times it's helped me no end. A lot of the reviews are mixed and I was very sceptical, but I can say hands down it suits me.

Nothing but a bad taste
So being on medication I can't drink. But as I'm currently off my medication I decided to still not have alcohol but to have a close enough version of it that I had seen all over social media recently 'Gives you the buzz without the hangover'. Fair to say, I felt absolutely nothing... But a bad taste in my mouth. I purchased the Livener and the Social one, tried the Social one first, it was instantly like a bitter beer sort of taste and I mixed it with Lemonade and later on mixed with Fanta Fruit Twist but the taste is awful it just made me want to stop drinking it completely. Didn't make me more social, didn't make me feel Floaty AT ALL, and definitely wasn't feeling any sort of 'Bliss' other than when I stopped drinking it. The livener, the taste again wasn't great but not as bad as the social one, but I couldn't have more than one or 2 drinks of that due to its high caffeine content! It had a sort of gingery taste but felt like it was burning my mouth and throat everytime I had a drink of it. Didn't make me feel more energy at all though despite the 'High Natural Caffeine' content, juicy I wouldn't use that as a word to describe it either maybe Fruity or Tarty would be more appropriate, and fiery is definitely something it's lived up to, it's the only thing that is true On the bottle. To be honest I don't even know why I purchased or why I thought I could 'feel the buzz' again from a non-alcoholic. But I think they need to rethink they're advertising and what particular choice of words they use. And possibly lower the price! Just under £50 I paid for these 2 bottles, 2 drinks from each, and I've woken up the next day with weird stomachache and feel like I could sit on the toilet all day. 😩 I wouldn't recommend these drinks and I wouldn't tell anyone to try them now that I have. £50 is alot of money for 2 'spirits' that are small in size anyway and that don't do what they say on the bottle. Would love a refund for the drinks due to being told one thing by there advertising and there website but completely different in my opinion. If you want to feel a buzz again from non alcoholic drinks, I'd recommend just getting your electric toothbrush and putting it down your ear or something to feel a buzz cos it's not going to happen unless you take other substances to actually make you feel that way.

Thumbs up
I wish this was either less expensive or came in a bigger bottle, but otherwise I am a fan of this product. It certainly has a different taste to it (not amazing, not terrible - the ginger is evident), so I like to mix it with some cranberry juice. What I love about this drink after consuming it is how it makes me feel which is: I feel good and truly energized. But not in a hyper, energy-drink way. It feels healthy, like natural energy, which I think is what most people are looking for. I know everyone is different, but I haven't found another product that gives me such a great boost that also feels healthy and doesn't leave a negative after effect (sugar crash, tired, hungry, etc.). That's why I continue to purchase this product and would definitely recommend.

Social is the best
Social is my favorite, I’m in sales and I drink it through the day to want to talk to my customers. It’s such a great drink I always have it stocked up and I’ve gotten so many people to try it and everyone loves it. Makes you silly and laugh. Just makes life better. I’m pregnant so I can’t have it right now and I can tell you I miss it more than anything else :)

TINY Bottles!!! Not full size.
My friend recommended it. It’s ok, but not worth the price. I can’t say I feel anything of significance. These are three very small bottles!!

Save your money
I recently tried an alcohol substitute elixir, and while it tasted fine, it completely failed to deliver on its promises. I expected it to provide a similar relaxed or flirty feeling to alcohol, but it didn’t give me the slightest buzz. For the price, which was comparable to a nice bottle of alcohol that would typically last me 2-3 months, this was a complete waste of money. It felt like I paid a premium for a glorified flavored beverage. I will not be buying anything like this again and can’t recommend it to anyone looking for an actual alcohol alternative. Save your money.
