Must own
If you have a dryer in your house, it's a must that you keep an eye on the condition of your venting. Dust and debris can build up inside and either reduce the effectiveness of your dryer, and/or become a fire Hazzard. The above being said, you should check your venting at least twice a year and clean it out each time. I do not recommend this product for a foil type, corrugated vent, as it could tear holes in the material or damage it in other ways, and it's operation would not be smooth. I also don't recommend corrugated vents, period, as they tend to trap more junk, and tend to be routed poorly or incorrectly in most situations. If you are a new home owner and have a corrugated vent on your dryer, look into replacing it with a ridged vent, soon. If you have a ridged dryer vent, this tool is excellent. You can pretty much detach at the dryer and send it right up and through to the outside in seconds, and it seems to gather everything and shoot it right outside. I didn't find any particulates sitting in the vent after, that required a vacuum or much of anything really. The device is sturdy, came with plenty of extension attachments, an easy to use end piece (do not lose it) to chuck in a drill. The brush was good, and stiff, but appropriate for the task. The brush also didn't seem to hold onto any lint, just pushed it thru. Granted, my vent was not too full because I keep it clear, but the use of dryer sheets can leave a residue that this brush seemed to clean out, exceptionally well. All in all, great product. Should last a long time. I recommend!

Easy Dryer Vent Cleaning Tool
It does the job as advertised. My granddaughter recommended this to us for our dryer vent cleaning and I was skeptical to say the least. But I was wrong. Following the instructions, I assembled the first few links, powered up the drill and started the roto cleaning. Results were positive so I added more links. That's when I realized that it works best when one person is feeding the line into the vent and another is operating the drill. Ultimately got about 20 feet of vent cleaned and a ton of bundled lint out of the vent. Very satisfied.

Wow! This worked better than expected
Wow! This really worked well to clear an old dryer vent. *Follow the instructions and only rotate the brush in one direction! Rotating in backwards will unscrew the lengths of rod and you’ll have the brush stuck in your duct. The packaging wasn’t great, but all the tools were there. Since my vent starts in the basement and snakes up a wall, then a 90° bend to go above a room and then out the wall. My vent (i think) is a more rigid duct in the walls (not the thin, flexible material), so the stiff bristles of this brush caused no issue. I did slowly feed in one length of rod at a time, screwing in the next and going really slow. I used a very low speed battery powered drill to move forward in the duct, and kept bringing the brush back out periodically. Good to clear out some and then go a little further. The bend up the wall went well, but I didn’t push my luck. I moved to the outside vent and went in from there for the remainder. After all that, a quick blow from a leaf blower cleared out the remaining dust. I was amazed how much lint was sitting in the duct.

Incredibly Convenient!
Our Clothes Dryer vent from the machine to the outside is roughly 15 feet and has NEVER been inspected or cleaned since the day we moved in over 30 years ago. So once we figured out there was absolutely no air flow coming out the vent hood we knew we had some sort of serious blockage in the passage. This tool is quite simple and extremely effective and had more than enough length to send the spinning brush all the way through the exhaust vent. And every claim that this tool presents seems to be all true. We think we came across two blockages and with the spinning motion of the tool and moving it back and forth we were able to break up the lint enough to pull it out. After 30 minutes we pulled out over 2 vacuum bags worth of lint and now we're able to get a full strength of flowing hot air when we run the clothes dryer. WORD TO THE WISE: When using this tool ALWAYS run your drill CLOCKWISE. Each segment of the drill is screwed into the next segment of the drill and if you run your drill counter-clockwise you'll be unscrewing the segments and you'll possibly loose parts of this tool inside your vent - and if your vent is as long as ours then it'll be very difficult to retrieve those small thin parts with the brush now being your blockage. I accidentally did that and luckily for me only the line segment closest to my drill unscrewed and came apart even though I had electrical tape to secure it. I was able to re-screw the line segment and continue working the drill in a clockwise direction.

BE CAREFUL
While this product did remove lint, it also ended up pushing a ball of lint into the hard-piped 90 fitting which ended up blocking the dryer flow. After cleaning the vent, I went outside to check that the vent cover "flapper" was opening. It was not. If I wouldn't have checked that, who knows what could have happened! Here, I came to discover there was a blockage and I had to disassemble the vent, which was no easy task as it is partially behind a finished wall. Came to find that the 90 degree elbow was completely clogged with lint. I would say if you have a fairly straight vent system and/or access to any elbows, then the product is fine. Otherwise, proceed at your own risk.

It’s disgustingly satisfying
So. This product did meet my needs and expectations. One of things that was a challenge for me (which is not the product’s fault) was that my dryer vent was SUPER clogged. I guess that’s what you sign up for when you move into a rental... It took me about an hour and a half to feel like I got out all of the lint (which was packed completely solid in some areas). I also attached it to a drill- which is where it lost a star for easy to use. When the brush head was up against one of those solid lint blocks, the rod would get really twisted and flip around a bunch once I stopped using the drill - like it was trying to release the coiled tension that I put into it and it was flipping around, kind of like when you pull a tape measure out as far as it will go and then release it, and it coils back in really quickly. It became kind of a fiasco and different points, but again- that’s because my dryer vent probably hasn’t been cleaned in at least 10 years (based on a crumpled receipt that I found in the debris that was definitely not mine........ 🤢). The other thing that was a challenge was unscrewing the rods from one another. After I was done cleaning the vent, the rods were screwed together really, really tightly. It took some additionally tools (and a lot of swear words) to get the leverage needed to undo them. My advice: have someone help you when you do this, especially if you plan to use the drill attachment. I did this all on my own, and I think it would have been a lot easier with some help. Also, wear a mask because it does kick up a lot of lint. The plus side- my clothes dry in half the time, and I’m not as worried about my house catching on fire.

Pretty good
How effective this is depends on your setup. The more bends, the more difficult it is to snake through. If you have flexible or even semi-rigid duct segments, those are not ideal. Attachments are commonly metallic duct tape and the force of snaking this device in can separate the joins. It is pretty effective though. I snaked out a ton of lint. I took 3 passes or until I got no lint back. The drill attachment is pretty key but just don't get crazy. You will need a couple of pliers to separate the ends of the nylon rods. The rods are pretty durable but they can be damaged by over-aggressive drill action--I'd set it for low torque if you can. I ended up snaking this at both ends of the vent and also found a seam in the middle (in my basement) and snaked it in both directions there. Overall a ton of lint. Dryer works much better although it made me think about getting a dryer booster fan.

Works Great!
We live in a rental and landlord refuses to clean the vent ducts. We finally had enough as the dryer wasn't venting outside anymore. This tool works perfectly! No issues with attaching to a drill, and works wonderfully for spinning up the excess lint, hair, etc that builds up in the vents. We took about half a garbage bag full of plugged lint, and took only about 45 mins to do. This was at least 10 years of build up. Great for a basic do-it-yourself cleaning job and it worked great afterwards. The only thing you have to watch for is the threads do tighten from the spinning so it was a little tough to loosen afterwards to take apart but that's about it.

Works without power drill, sort of….
Pros: extra lengthening attachments extends the reach; extensions are relatively flexible; the brush when twirled (not attached to a power drill, so rotated it by hand) did loosen the lint and pulled clumps out (but best was loosening lint sufficiently that the dryer when turned on”blasted out” the lint. So did the job. Cons: wish that it had a long flexible “bottle brush” piece that could clean out the exhaust vent found inside the dryer when the lint filter was removed (on me there were other products that had this); flexibility was less than expected re any bends (further it was moved into the vent pipe, cannot do a bend when it reaches one) on one hand and too floppy flexible when fully extended for one person to use - 2 needed, one to hold it up as first person threaded it into the pipe. Definitely did make a difference but a power drill attacked to the extensions would have made the work easier.
