Shake it, baby
I was very pleasantly surprised at the tone and quality of these maracas. I guess I was expecting that felt cheap and lightweight.

Paired With the Ret Stripers for Quiet Fun
Yeah, a little while ago I reviewed the Red Stripe version of these. The Reds shape at a higher tone than the Greens. So I'd recommend getting a set of each, the two reds in the right hand, and the two greens in the Left, with the Balls going off in opposite directions. This would give you more opportunity for sub timing definition and subtlety. However, these maracas as thick wood, with a very dampened quiet sound. They're great for practice when you don't want your back ground music to disturb others, or even just your cats. But, no, in any real party where the music would be cranked up to Party Level, well, these Clunkers would go inaudible.

Not regular sized
I ordered them for me but they are not full size and are light weight. (I should have read the specifications) but they are well made- good quality (solid wood material) and sound, would be great for kids.

Great little Maracas that are fun to play
If you are into percussion instruments you would love playing these Maracas just hold one in front of you sorta low then the other and start to shake and gradually go into a double shake and you will hear the notes inside the Maracas playing a little tune for you. Go on YouTube and you will have people there to show you how to make some noise with your Maracas but in a delightful way. I really enjoy them, If you like this type of Instrument you will like them too. The quality is fine and the style is great and If you take care of them they will last you a long time. They are nice to have around.
