Haircolor Gel, 7C Ash Blonde, 4.56 Fluid Ounce

I just used this dye. So far, it is perfect for what I want to do with my hair. Most importantly, it's cruelty free. It didn't cover any of my sparse gray hairs, but that's not something I'm overly concerned about. I have medium to dark auburn/golden blonde hair that get very blond in the sun. In other words, if I want to lighten my hair at all, even just a little, brassiness is a fact of life for me. Failed attempts to add highlights and/or tone the brassiness have plagued me since I went cruelty free. The only thing that has helped is purple shampoo. But it's not effective enough and it takes repeated shampoos over a period of time. So I've been dealing with a major 'Hair Color Faux Pas' for the last 3 years. Until now.This brand has finally done the trick for me! It toned the color down to a level that I have hints of golden blond instead of glaring brassiness. If you don't understand how color works given the results you are looking for, Herbatint has a great guide on their website to help find what colors to buy. Time will tell how long the color lasts. Easy to apply, no damage to my hair. Good product!

Really nice color. Easy to work with, and exactly the ashy tone i was looking for. Only problem is. It was all washed out after 3 days. My hair is really stubborn when it comes to hair dye - it definiately needs mor harsh product for the color to stay, so perhaps this wasnt optimal for me. But I guess it could work as a toner for a person with normal hair(?). I bought it cuz it was vegan and cruelty free, so 5 stars for that!

I’ve been using this product for a long time. Its unscented and covers grays very well. It’s nice to know it’s not toxic. It’s gotten pretty expensive, which is my only complaint.

I have been using this for a while now. I can mix with other color to change the shade and keeps my hair soft.

First time using this and I will never go back! I was trying to darken my hair from a previous bleach job and read that these deposit color rather than change your hair color which is just what I was looking for. I mixed this with an 8g blonde to get back to a brown and it worked perfectly!! It lightened my black roots to a nice brown and then toned down the remaining blonde to a cool ash brown. Absolutely in love with these hair dyes and I still have some left over! Shipping was great, and they came packaged safely!

First off, it did nothing to my hair during the strand test. Secondly, the ingredients aren’t posted. It does contain harsh chemicals, so if you’re trying to avoid hair damage or grow your hair out, this probably isn’t for you. I was hopeful about the reviews, and I even checked out their website, but alas, all of the ingredients aren’t listed. Also, if you have a wheat sensativity (like me) the product DOES contain wheat germ oil. I’m just glad I saw that before I put it on my entire head... that would’ve been pretty itchy on my poor little scalp. But, I was desperate for a change in hair color so I didn’t research like I should have... It’s also worth noting I am a henna user, so that IS a factor. Other henna dyers claimed to have had results from this, but I wasn’t one... still less expensive than going to a salon though, right?
