Are the foil heads now made to last longer ? in the past they have been very cheap and break within a very short period of time

The reason Remington foils don't last as long is because they are thinner than some other brands. This is by design to provide a closer shave. I do not work in an office & have another brand I use for my daily shaving & I use my Remington when I am going off somewhere & want to look my best. The other foil is thicker & lasts longer but does not give as close a shave as my Remington, but good enough for the work I do. My Remington gives a great shave that leaves my face super smooth.

No trimmer? want a decent substitute for the braun 5615, which had a pop up trimmer. the braun m60/m90 don't shave well and have poor trimmers.

I agree. I have had shard time finding travel shavers (battery operated) with pop up trimmers. ShaveMan is the only one I found. But it isn't a great shaver.

No. While all Remington shavers are made to give a skin close shave, ingrown hairs could still be a problem for some men..
