My daughter (7) is super into critters and bugs. She had waited for these little guys with such anticipation and was so excited when they arrived! We were lucky and got a couple extra caterpillars, which all morphed into beautiful butterflies. One was unfortunately deformed, but that's because the chrysalis never attached to the top of the container's paper cover. But we are able to feed it and will keep it throughout it's little butterfly life! All of my kids found this super educational and cool! I will say that my daughter wanted to hold and handle her caterpillars but the instructions say to keep them inside the container until they form their chrysalis'. So that was a little bummer for her. However, overall a great learning experience and we'd likely do it again!

I bought two sets tiny caterpillars in Mid-May. When we got them, they were so tiny and so much fun to watch grow over the next two weeks. Today is June 5 and I’m happy to report, 14 out of 14 butterflies were released into the world! It was amazing to see them grow and so easy because of the cup of food that comes with it. After they formed the chrysalis, we took the top off and attached it to the side of the habitat. Once they arrived, we added a couple cotton balls with Gatorade/sugar water and fruit at the bottom for them to enjoy. This was an awesome experience and we will be back next year to get another batch! Highly recommend!

I was worried about them arriving alive, as they're shipped usps and take several days. They all came absolutely fine and alive! Mine were all moving and ready to go. I ordered 10 and got 3 extra! Which was a nice surprise. Looking forward to watching the process with my kids! *First 2 pics are day 1 of receiving them. Second 2 pictures are them today, 6 days later! Will keep updating their journey!

I received this in beautiful condition. The food that looks like sand was compact at the bottom and caterpillars on the wall. I bought these last year too and they produced well. I had a bad batch come earlier in the year and didn’t realize it was so wrong. Something went wrong in shipping and their food looked bad and no caterpillars arrived. I was being patient but I should have realized something happened in the shipping. Overall very happy!

This was a great classroom activity. We were given a butterfly enclosure and wanted to give the kids the experience but the full ready made kits are so expensive. This has easy to folly instructions as well as videos to watch if you needed them. The caterpillars do all the work. We had five beautiful butterflies to release. They hatched at different times and even though two fell off and we just hung them back on they were all beautiful and flew. We can’t wait to get more next year!!!

This was such a fun experience! We loved the process and it was quite easy to care for them. We will likely do this in the future!

I liked this company a lot. I buy from them every year. This year, I went to buy more and noticed the price more than doubled from last year this time. They used to be better than the other companies, this price is more than 2x what I paid before. This is sad. Update: so upset now. They came already two days from going into crys. They went in but only 3 came out of one container! And one has broken wings(that has happened before, but they call came out) My kid is crying and they want me to send them back to get a refund. Send the butterflies back or crysalises that didn't come out? I'm not sure how to handle this because I'm loyal to the company, but they let me down this year. 2nd edit: Company was nice about sending a new order and quickly. The ones that came are babies and we can see their development and growth. I'm staying loyal and changed my rating.
