Will this work for a mini goldendoodle about 25 lbs?

Yes, it should work really well. I have had poodles of all sizes over the years and currently have a miniature (12 lbs.) and a Bichon Frisée (16 lbs.). This is the best brush I’ve ever had. Works especially well on my Bichon, who has a double coat which Matt’s easily.

My labradoodle (curly) that I keep at around 2 1/2 - 3 inches. This this should work but is it also good for stretching the hair when drying?

Yes, it works great for drying/straightening, especially when used with a force dryer.
