Great discovery of life insights
I bought the book out of curiosity after watching a YouTube video by Deya. Surprisingly, the book has become important to me. It seems simple, but it gives me an entirely new perspective on life's obstacles and the things I used to think were difficult. It encourages me to see them as challenges rather than troubles. It definitely gives me more insight into my life and new ways to view it. The book is well written, and I recommend it to everyone who wants to pause and reflect on what lies ahead in their life.

Some Useful Information
I set myself a New Years Resolution to read one self-help/inspirational book a month and this was my first one of the year. There are a lot of elements of CBT in this in the way it explains why your brain reacts a certain way. I did find this was more about the why than actually giving me tips on how to change my mindset but it was useful. I highlighted quite a few sections to refer back to. Overall worth it to understand a little bit more about self-sabotage.

Does what it says on the tin
As far as the kind of โself-helpโ books I like to read, this was definitely a successful purchase. Although I feel as though some of the information and ideas in this one are over simplified I think this is the perfect book for someone who is looking to rip their toes into non-fiction/self help genre.

Honest, Practical, and Powerful
I've only read Chapter 1 so far, and I can already tell I'm in for a treat. It's incredibly eye-opening and has given me a lot to reflect on. The way it explores self-sabotage and personal growth is both insightful and engaging. I'm excited to continue reading.

Viel uit elkaar!
Slechte kwaliteit van het boek. De moment dat je het opendoet vallen er al pagina's uit. Daarnaast is het boek ook niet echt inspirerend. Niet zijn geld waard.

Conquering Inner Shadows: A Journey from Self-Sabotage to Sovereignty
"The Mountain Is You" is a profound exploration into the depths of self-sabotage and the pathways that lead to self-mastery. The title itself, evoking imagery of formidable challenges and personal peaks to overcome, sets the tone for the transformative journey the reader is about to undertake. One of the strengths of this book is how it dissects the intricate webs of self-sabotage that many of us unknowingly weave throughout our lives. Whether it's procrastination, self-doubt, or the fears that hold us back, the author delves into the root causes with both empathy and insight. Instead of just offering surface-level advice or quick fixes, the book focuses on a deep understanding of why we act against our best interests and how our past traumas and experiences influence our present behaviors. The transition from understanding self-sabotage to achieving self-mastery is elegantly illustrated through a blend of personal anecdotes, psychological insights, and actionable advice. The reader is not left with mere knowledge but is equipped with practical tools and strategies to commence their journey towards self-mastery. A standout element is the book's emphasis on self-compassion. Instead of advocating for a rigid or overly disciplined approach, the author promotes a journey of self-discovery filled with kindness, understanding, and patience. This perspective is refreshing in an era saturated with self-help books that often stress relentless positivity or an aggressive approach to self-improvement. In conclusion, "The Mountain Is You" is more than just a guide; it's a compassionate companion for anyone ready to face their internal mountains and emerge not just victorious but truly transformed. For those seeking to understand the depths of their self-sabotaging behaviors and are ready to embrace a path of self-mastery, this book is a must-read.
