Bio-Filter Balls, 90 Count, Support Biological Aquarium Filtration, Rite-Size S, T and X, Fit All C-Series and Magniflow Canister Filters

I have used these for years in aquariums and my goldfish pond to give bacteria somewhere to grow. These are sized just right to fit ten or so behind the filter pad and the rear of my hang on filter. I like to do this because it encourages bacteria to grow on the balls rather than the pads that get replaced. When the pads are changed these help carry the bio load. They also help out in the event of an undetected dead snail or fish that spikes the ammonia. I view these as an insurance policy because the more places bacteria lives and can multiply if needed the better. These really shine in a cannister filter. Fill a basket with these and you are set. I like that these allow water flow and will allow most waste through to get caught in the filter pad. There are a ton of choices for filter media available but for the price and quality I have found these hard to beat. One box is a lifetime supply and I highly recommend.

You absolutely cannot beat the price for what you get with these. These are the smaller ones which is what I was looking for to put inside a smaller canister filter. Do not mistake these for the larger 1" balls people use in larger canisters or even sumps.

I received these bio balls in the mail yesterday,and they are small but perfect for bio filtration. I purchased these for a large hob filter to have extra space for useful bacteria to have more area. They are good quality for the price . Easy to use. I rinsed with hot water and put them in. I will update at the performance asap. Time will tell as to how long they last.

Overall I am happy with this product. They were very inexpensive and very small in size. This worked for me because I wanted to use them in a small hang on back filter. I did use them for quite some time and they kept my tank going good. Only complaint was that some balls did come broken, but I didn't use all of them anyways so I didn't mind. 4 stars is what I give it for that.

We have an outdoor goldfish pond that gets pretty rank in the Summer. These little balls cleaned up the algae in only a few days. Totally worth it!

I have a multi stage canister filter for my 125 gallon tank. These things work wonders in keeping my tank clean. A quick rinse every so often when I pull the filter off and they are good to go. They work so well, I started using them in my small outdoor pond (40 Gallon or so) and they helped keep my pond clear all summer in a homemade bucket filter.

Know what you are buying and it’s a perfect fit. High quality products from a quality company!!!

I’m no expert at this and it’s always a learning process but these balls have changed the game for me. The water stays clearer and the smell is like pretty much gone. It’s been a struggle trying to find the right equipment to tend to these messy turtles but I can say these balls help a lot right now and until I can afford a canister water filter this is a great purchase.
