Hot Tools Pro Artist 1875W Ionic Compact Hair Dryer | Lightweight, Perfect for Travel

Big fan of this brand, can’t recommend it enough! I was introduced to it by a hairstylist of mine that used it with her clients and I have stuck to it. All of my hair tools, iron, curling iron and hairdryers are hot tools! So I had to jump at this purchase the moment I saw it on here. Great price! Use it almost every day! I swim almost every day so I have to wash my hair and swimming in chlorine already does a lot of damage to your hair so I wanted to aid that damage with a hairdryer that’s good for me and my hair. It’s small and super portable, the ability of being folded makes it more compact so you can take it anywhere! I take it with me every day in my gym bag leaving plenty of room for my clothes, towel, etc. I have long hair but it is powerful enough to have my hair dry within 5 minutes or less. The gym hairdryers cannot compare. They don’t have much power. It has a cool air feature, plus different levels of low and high. It also came with the extras, I don’t really use them or have much of a need but I love that it does to help you style your hair. So if you are thinking about buying this hairdryer and you are on the go a lot, travel, don’t wanna carry around a big hairdryer, then this is the one for you.

I needed a travel dryer with dual voltage capability for an upcoming trip to the Cook Islands, and then to Fiji a few months later. I'd read that converters sometimes fry high voltage appliances like a hair dryer, so didn't want to risk my $250 Babyliss dryer. I spent hours researching travel dryers trying to find the best for the money (I didn't want to spend much for a dryer I would use a few times a year, yet didn't want to use the crappy ones provided in hotel rooms). I even narrowed it down to 4 models and then sent the links to my stylist for her recommendation. She recommended the Babyliss, and that was my first choice too since I have the "real" one, but I found a coupon for this one, so decided to give it a shot. I got it a few days ago and used it this morning for the first time (here in the US) and let me say, what a great little dryer! It was compact, yet didn't feel awkward small. And man, on high this thing has some power! It folds nice and small and comes with a diffuser and then another adapter. I have very thick, somewhat wavy/curly hair that I flat iron straight and honestly after drying my hair felt soft and smooth, not dry and frizzy like it sometimes does. I am really happy with this dryer, and after using it today, it will now be my dryer I take anytime we go somewhere. This way I don't have to take my expensive stuff and risk being taken from hotel rooms, or getting damaged while traveling. If you're on the fence like I was, just get this one and be done! Granted, I haven't used it out of the country yet, and I will update my review in a few weeks after we get back!

Love it! Works great! This is the 2nd one I’ve purchased. I had the first one a long time and it was still working. I used to hang it with the wire wrapped around the open handle and hung it to store it. The handle finally was working any longer. The dryer was still working and I taped it to stay open. I still have it but decided to get a new one just in case.

I ordered this dryer to go overseas with me. I ususally use a tourmaline, ionic, SpeedFreak dryer at home. I have fine curly hair and anything else will damage my hair and dry it out. This dryer was perfect! I had no problem with it adapting to outlets, it's much lighter in weight, has great power, comes with attatchments, and folds to make it so easy to pack. Besides jeans and boots, my hair dryers have always been a pain to travel with. Now I never have to worry about it again! Do realize it's not as small as a hotel dryer though, and that's why it still has the power a good dryer needs, but it folds and the attatchments are small. It's an awesome dryer especially for the price! I think I will have to buy some for Christmas gifts next year :)

I bought this dryer to take on an international trip since it has dual voltage. It did not disappoint. It's the dryer I take on all my trips now, domestic or international. It's compact, lightweight, yet still has drying power. I love that it has a diffuser which is essential for my hairstyle. And bonus it's in my favorite color, purple! The only thing I would change is the temperature/fan control. On high it's the hot setting, on low it's warm. I'd love it even more if it had separate switches for the temperature and fan control. Sometimes I need to dry on hot on a low fan setting, and sometimes I need to dry on warm on high fan setting. That's the only drawback thus far. Otherwise, I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it. I've used it for over two years now and no issues. I would buy again.

I purchased this for my trip to Spain and it did not work. It turned on for like 5 seconds and then shut off. Very disappointing.

I bough this hairdryer for 4 reasons: dual voltage; diffuser; foldable and lightweight. I was really hoping that I could make this work for overseas travel, and didn't need it to be perfect, or have a huge diffuser. I did a trial run at home. All of those features were there, but I'm sending it back for 2 reasons: 1. both high and low settings are hot and powerful, and if you're trying to diffuse curls; you're going to keep reaching for that Cool Shot button but it won't help... 2. The Cool Shot button is not a Cool Shot button. It's a slow, warm puff of ineffective air. I think this might be a great hair dryer for overseas travelers with lower maintenance hair that doesn't need to be diffused, but my curls are still REALLY angry with me for this experiment. The search continues.

This is the best travel hairdryer I've ever had. It out performed my T3 travel hairdryer which is week on heat and airflow. I took my Hot Tools travel dryer to the UK and all I needed was an adaptor. There was no need for a converter. It was just as powerful as my standard professional hairdryer and the airflow was hot. It took no time at all to blow dry my hair. I also like the fact that they include a defuser, most companies never include this as an accessory. When I get back to the US, I'll probably use my Hot Tools for internal traveling rather than take my standard hairdryer. It will save on luggage space. Best $40.00 I ever spent.

I have thick, super-curly hair that I like to blow dry & flat iron straight. This small travel hair dryer is very powerful and dries my hair quicker than large scale dryers! Very happy with it. It is my everyday blow dryer. I also bought another one that I use only for trips too. It is very compact and fits nicely in a carryon luggage bag - taking up little space. The dual voltage works well too.

It’s a tiny little thing which is unnerving for someone with long curly hair. The dual voltage for use in Europe was my first need and if it dried my hair was my second. A win on both fronts. My pro tip is if you use a diffuser and have long curly hair, a universal diffuser fits on the nozzle which is what I used. The one it comes with was comically small but as I say if Your hair is not on the ginormous size that Would work. Hey I like to pack light like the next person but I also don’t want to look like crap for vacay visiting people and in photos . I bought and tried a few dryers and for a tiny one it does the trick.
