This has a great chewy texture, even better than some of the best beef jerky I've ever sampled. I've tried over 50 brands of beef jerky, and this mushroom jerky surprised me -- it's right up there with the best "real" stuff. The original flavor doesn't really remind of beef, but it has a strong savory essence that's addicting. I find myself eating a bag in just a few minutes. Can't get enough of this. Wish it was sold in larger bags. As far as nutrition, this has a lot less protein than beef jerky and more carbs, but I'll keep buying it as a change of pace from beef.

I saw this on shark tank like everyone else and whatever that dude gave the sharks could not have been anything like what I got. I love shiitake mushrooms and I doubt I will be capable of eating one again in my life. The flavor was so awful I spit it out but the horrific taste stays in your mouth. Even after brushing my teeth I can still taste it on my breath. My stomach has been churning ever since and it’s not a matter of if but when I will throw up. Value for money? Sorry there is none unless you are looking for something to induce vomiting. As for giftable… maybe to my worst enemy but that maybe too cruel even.

This is a very unique product and may not be everybody's favorite, but I absolutely love it. I am a fan of mushrooms and I am also a fan of jerky. This has all the pleasure of chewing on a nice piece of jerky without the grease. I love it and actually purchased more to take on my vacation for a quick pick me up. Do not buy if you do not like chewy jerky. This is excellent and I genuinely love it. Unlike meat jerky, that can cause me an upset stomach at bedtime, Pans mushroom jerky does not do that and offers a fun snack while watching tv at night without the fear of winding up sick.

These are usually nice and soft and easy to chew. This batch of 3 bags were extremely hard and had a slight burnt taste to them like they were cooked or dried out too long. Quite dissapointing cause I've always been a huge fan. Not so much anymore.

I don't understand all the negative reviews about these mushroom jerkies. I've tried a TON of different vegan jerkies, and as a health junkie, this is by far my absolute favorite. It's soft and chewy and has amazing flavor. Not to mention, pretty simple and clean ingredients- no seed oils and gluten free. The ONLY thing I'd mention here is that it does have chia seeds... which are pretty high in oxalates and can irritate the gut for sensitive people. Chia seeds aren’t automatically high in mold or mycotoxins, but they do fall into a category of foods where quality and storage matter more. High heat can kill mold, but it doesn’t necessarily remove mycotoxins if they’re present. Since this is the last ingredient, most likely it's used as a binder. Overall, highly recommended!

Very very good but expensive!!! It’s like crack!

I usually am a big fan of this product. But the last package I received was stale and hard as a rock. I couldn’t eat it and wound up throwing it away.
