Great for budget lens
Recieved this item the other day and had a chance to use a few times to take pictures of the moon and sun (with a solar filter attached). While images of the moon show some chromatic aberration, it is excellent quality for the price. Image quality is on par with some of my older basic canon lenses (softness in image details, chromatic aberration, etc). As long as you don't expect the image quality of a L series lenses, this is a very good lens...but I wouldn't expect that with a lens that is 10-20x less expensive. Bottom line...so far I'm pleased with this lens and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

Manual focus is hard to adjust
For the price this seems to be an ok lens. The zoom is really great and if you were using this lens for any photography that doesn't require shooting a moving target (like birds) it is probably a good pick for you. This manual focus is not optimal for birding... the focus ring on the lens is a tight turn so you cannot focus quickly enough to get a snap before the bird is gone. I think this is a good, inexpensive lens for someone just testing the waters at photographing still life things.

AWESOME LENS
I purchased this for my canon Eos 2000d. Fits great. Excellent build quality. Image quality is also excellent. It’s heavy which is literally the only downside BUT I am still able to hold it free hand for photos and also works well on a tripod!! Purchased to take pics of the moon originally but it has worked well for other photos like for birds. Thanks!!

Perfect lens for hobbyists with a budget!
As a grad student, I am on a very tight budget, but I still really enjoy bird watching and wildlife photography. The solution? This lens! No, you aren't going to take any award-winning shots with it and yes it *is* much more difficult to master as it's totally Manual, but it still takes some good pictures! Everyone says you can't take pictures of wildlife with a manual lens, but I've been doing it for over a year and you can, yes, even action shots if you've got the patience to put in the practice. I got this as an 'upgrade' to my 500mm manual lens and I love it. While I do wish you could focus and *not* have to lock the zoom into the place for speeds-sake, it's hardly less than I could ask for for the price. These pics were all taken with this lens. The gator and the whistling ducks were about 30 yards away, the Harris's Hawk and thrasher about 15 yards, and the Little Blue Heron 50 yards.

ZOOM NOT COMPATIBLE FOR CANON
Great MANUAL zoom, NOT AUTOMATIC like I thought. It did not fit my Canon because the adaptor ring, included, that makes the zoom lense compatible for Canon did not work. Returned it and got my refund.

Faulty lens, might have been a return
One the package seemed like it was open before. Two it wasnt delivered the day it was supposed, it wasn't even shipped by the delivery date Three when you put on the lens it's fine, fit good and shows the live image good, but after clicking to take the picture, there's black shade that's add out of nowhere. The last image shows the black shade. The image before that is the live view. Not sure what can cause that. I'm guessing, whoever sent out the product just picked out a returned item, not checking to see if it was faulty. I was definitely excited to use the lens, and I'll keep the lens because it still good for the price. Just wish the company was not sending out returned or damaged item just because they didn't have good ones in stock

Good lens for the money
This lens requires skill with your camera. It's awkwardly long, especially at 800mm. Focal adjustment rotation range is nearly two full turns. However, if you want to shoot bright targets that aren't moving at greater than 400mm, this is about the least expensive way to do it. They saved money by giving it T-threads and including the appropriate T-adapter for your camera. I bought it for shooting the sun through solar film, and it will work fine for that. Focusing is the greatest challenge, especially since you're standing in bright sunlight. In my experience, optical, or through the viewfinder focusing works best, but even on a tall tripod it's in an awkward position when viewing the sun mid day.

It's a pretty good lens 👌
It's not the most durable of lenses but it's easy to use and really good for it's price it's versatile when getting birds and other small animals at a distance but stability is a little awkward but once you get used to it I t works to your advantage and fits perfectly on my canon and so far I loved it not perfect but for the price it's close enough

Great value and fun for the price
This is a good lens for the price. Good fun to play with, but probably not for serious photography. Before buying, be aware that it must be used with the camera in manual mode, as there is no electronic contact between the lens and camera. The build quality is surprisingly good for the price, and it comes with a soft case. However, once the adapter is fitted for your camera mount you will need a rear lens cap (not provided). The image quality is fair for the price, but dramatically improved in daylight with the use of a cpl filter. As is expected, the lens is basically impossible to keep still handheld, particularly at 800mm. However, used with a sturdy tripod reasonably sharp images can be obtained. I also attempted to shoot video, and although using a sturdy tripod on a basically windless day, the video was jumping around due to movement of the lens. I would only use this lens for video at 800mm if shooting from indoors (through a window). Overall I would say that this lens is good value for anyone wanting to try some ultra long lens photography without paying thousands of dollars for a brand lens. Good fun, but I wouldn't be expecting win any wildlife photography competitions with it.

Canon EOS Rebel T3 (1100D)
Stra consigliato.
