This was so fun to use!! DO YOUR RESEARCH PRIOR!!!!!
Exfoliate a day or two prior!!! If you get major ingrown hairs and have horrible dragon skin like I do, this will drastically improve your experience. I made sure to watch every video possible and took the main tip of taking the room/body temperature into major consideration. It's 106 degrees in Texas, most homes are around 78-85 degrees internally so I veto'd heating up the wax prior to use. I showered first, thoroughly dried off. Wipe down my legs using witch hazel and used a wooden tongue depressor to scoop out the wax. It was firm but pliable to the touch, a bit stringy so make sure you're not anywhere it would matter if you got a little sticky stuff on it (comes off real easy, even off of the rug! lol). I will say learning the technique was fun but it does require a lot of practice due to the temperature being a major factor so you really gotta get in tune with that. I found using the tongue depressor or a card worked best for me when it came to the lifting technique. Application, I switched between the tongue depressor or my hands, kinda just depended on the surface area coverage I was going for. I practiced on my legs before moving to my bikini area, I still think about the review on how the woman glued her legs together. This was definitely a application and temperature issue. I highly recommend using very small amounts (I would use an amount that was about the size of a marble?), you don't need a lot at all especially when you are learning still. I definitely flicked some folded ribbons of sugar everywhere at times, they said to flick like you mean it and it should fold on itself so you know you're fulling parallel to the skin. Choosing between Hard or Medium wax, again, taking in the temps of Texas I went for the Hard wax. I think it offers more versatility due to the environment. A few hairs were missed, due to either technique/hair length/hair thinness but 1 out of who knows how many I'll take it! My hair grows in really sparse and thin on my legs, I don't even shave knee up because you can't tell I even have hair (Asian genes). My husband pointed out it was probably fun for me because it didn't hurt due to the lack of density of hair most people experience. None the less, I did attempt my bikini area which I have had professionally sugar'd once (which hurt like no other) but when I did it (2nd time ever sugar'd), it was less awful? But they say after the first surgaring will always hurt less so there is some truth to that. Aftercare is super important, I used a mixture of oils that are light and non-pore clogging to help alleviate the areas. Woke up baby smooth and no issues!

Awesome Sugaring Paste!
I have a back injury and it was very hard to keep up with shaving so I decided to try sugaring. I have sensitive skin and coarse hair so I grabbed the Hard paste. The first part I sugared was my legs, it hurt as you're ripping out your hair, but it hurt MUCH less than I thought it would! It was easy to learn, I watched many tutorials before it came. It certainly saves money with all the product you get, and it saves me from additional back pain! Since I've never had my legs waxed I imagine the growth will be different at first but the first time lasted me almost three weeks! The only time I've been waxed at the salon was my Brazilian, with sugar wax and strips. My skin was enflamed for days and it was painful, but not with this! It was PAINLESS, I swear! NO redness or swelling! This stuff is GREAT, a nice choice for anyone who is tired of shaving and getting that awful razor burn. It exfoliates and leaves your skin looking beautiful! Try it!

Works great
This stuff is great! It washes off completely with water. The 450-oz jar lasted almost a year.

Easier and more effective than I imagined
For years I've seen ads on sugaring and hearing about how it's the best hair removal method besides laser or electrolysis. I finally decided to try it because I got so sick of shaving and dealing with razor burn and bumps. I tried waxing but it just never worked for me no matter what kind of wax I tried. I debated laser or electrolysis but it's so expensive and ther s no guarantee it would work for me because of my skin color. I always heard that skin color matters with laser hair removal. I bought this sugar paste and let me leg hairs grow out. I figured I'd try it in my legs first and see how it works. I didn't shower immediately before using it. I actually showered in the morning because I wasn't even think about sugaring at the moment. That night, when I decided I was gunna try it, I debated in showering first. I didn't because I didn't use lotion or anything on my legs and I hadn't even left my house so I wasn't sweaty or dirty or anything. I bought the powder but decided not to use it. I just wanted to wing it. The first struggle was deciding in how to warm it. I tried hot water in a bowl but I couldn't get the top layer soft enough because I didn't want to put too much water in the bowl and end up getting water in the paste. I finally decided to just microwave it. I didn't want to because I was in my bedroom and I didn't want to go back and forth to the kitchen to keep warming it up. Turns out I didn't have to. It stayed warm long enough for me to do at least one whole leg. The paste came out easy enough when it was warm. It's stringy as expected so I had to be careful not to make a mess. It spread really easy and was super easy to flick. It worked better than I thought it would! The first spread and flick actually removed all but maybe 1 or 2 hairs! I was pleasantly surprised! I reused the same piece several times and it kept working. My next struggle was trying to figure out how to get it off my glove to get a new piece. I found that impossible. I ended up having to take the glove off with the ball of paste inside and put on a new pair of gloves. The next piece I tried I used more times than the last one. The more you use the same piece, the harder it gets to spread. But it still works. Overall, I'm very happy with how well this works! It works better than wax and it's not even as messy. You don't get small pieces stuck to your skin like with wax. It all sticks to itself so if you miss a piece, just pick it up with the ball in your hand. I had no residue leftover on my leg. I still have some learning to do and some practicing but for the first time, I feel pretty good about the process and the results! I'll soon be ready to try it on other parts of my body!

Great Paste
I'm about to order my 4th jar!!! It works great and lasts me about 6 mths. No more bumps or ingrowns. If it's too sticky/warm place it in the refrigerator or freezer. Too hard? Microwave it for a few seconds. I got some wax strips that has made it much easier to use. Put on the product, then smooth over with the strip, it makes for an easier pull.

Prepare to spend triple time waxing just cleaning off your fingers
If you like wax that you can only get three pulls out of before it sticks to your fingers and skin so much that you can barely get it off and need fresh wax in order to do so โ this is your solution. I bought this once and it was great and something changed and now I dread having to get through it. I spend most of my time at the sink and trashcan trying to get it off my fingers and it takes triple the time it would to wax even a small area. Not to mention, often I have to use it like regular wax instead of sugar and pull against the hair growth for it to work. Just overall like working with honey out of a bottle and no strips. This should probably have strips actually. It shouldnโt be sold as hard sugar wax

From brand new "sugaring fan"
After this purchase I became a fan of sugaring. When I decided to do my hair removal at home, I tried wax and sugar. And sugar beat wax in no time. With wax you need heater, spatulas and other things depends on the type of waxing but with hard sugaring you need this sugar paste and your hands! I think people who don't like it just didn't have enough patience to learn. It's hard right until you learned the process. Then it's so easy. I watched thousands of videos but first hour of my sugaring was awful and I thought I would trash damn paste and would go to salon next time. But I'm stubborn and it was really helpful in this situation. I kept on going and by the end of the second hour I was looking for any hairy surface just to be able to keep on going. I was so enthusiastic that I got it! I had this bang in my head and hands and I understood and felt the process totally and properly! I actually was surprised as I thought it would take me several sessions but it took me two hours. Maybe it would seem like a long time for somebody but I was happy with it. And I realize no matter how many videos you watched, you learn it only when you actually do it. Then you can understand this process and be happy with it. During my next couple of sugaring sessions I did some mistakes on purpose to understand it even better and it did help me. I let one ball of paste go for too long to the point when I got stuck. This way I learned the limits. But sugar is so forgiving. You just jump into the shower and wash it off! Soooo easy. Don't know how I lived before without sugaring myself. Can't wait for my hair to grow back again to do it again. Very enthusiastic now. This feeling of a successful newbie will go away in a while but results will always be the best I'm sure!

Its not what you think it is
When you watch some videos of sugaring you think its much easier than shaving but your dead wrong . First of all its really messy and hard to clean . Second it hurts alot , just like waxing , no matter what direction you try . You can expect tiny pimples and redness all over if you have a sensitive skin . All the pain n the mess aside it does not remove the hair as effectively as u imagined it would . It takes few tries to completely remove the hair n sometimes u cant completely remove all the hairs no matter how many times u try again . But it does remove some parts effectively but not at all evenly . I don't wanna crap on this product, u might get better experience if ur a pro n u got someone to help but dont expect any magics . It doesn't make u hairless for long . It takes just a bit longer than shaving for hair to grow back . N when it grows back it itches like crazy . I wouldn't try it again . Its either spray or laser or shaving for me from now on . Hardest n most painful attempt to remove my hair n ended up shaving most of it bcz it didn't do so well . But its my own experience n opinion . I wish u luck with this product :) .
