Original Demi-Tortoise Aviators

Update: 10 months later I wound up wearing these almost every single day. I initially thought the weight equated to cheap quality - but wound up being helpful because the bridge of my nose and my ears are sensitive to pressure. I also found that somehow these looked good no matter what I was wearing - dressed up or dressed down. They also held up really well! Their ultimate downfall was getting chewed up by a friend's dog. I immediately ordered a new pair. Changed from 3 stars to 5 stars and I consider them worth the price. ----- I don't know what I was expecting, but these feel pretty cheap. They do what they are supposed to do, and I have a big head that usually can't handle most tension from sunglasses. Very comfortable. It's on me, but the lens scratched almost immediately. I have no idea how, but I guess I would hope for how much we are paying for these, they could be a little more durable. It's not like I rubbed sand paper on them, I just had them in my purse. They save me from headaches on my sunny drives now which I appreciate. Feel like maybe I could have gotten the same effect from less expensive polarized sunglasses. Overall, I do not recommend considering the cost vs. quality of materials. There are less expensive polarized sunglasses out there. Seems like you're paying for a name here.

Replacement for a lost pair of the same. These are the best sunglasses I’ve ever owned and If i hadn’t lost the old ones I think they would’ve lasted forever! They don’t scratch or wear out in the hinges and you will forget you have them on. They may take a while to get used to but you’ll never want to be without them or wear anything else. They arrived like 18 hours after I placed the order, in a quality box (not fancy) with a microfiber bag. I hope never to lose this pair but I know just where to go for a replacement if I do! Don’t settle for anything less than the OG!

I don't want to be a "night owl" anymore! I ordered these glasses to wear daily from sundown till bedtime, to help me reset my sleep cycles and align with my circadian rhythms. They are beautifully made, and feel comfortable resting on the bridge of my nose. I feel a bit of weight, but it's fine. They're a bit too big for my feminine face. Had I tried on several styles, I would surely have chosen another for personal aesthetics. But since I love the convenience of Amazon Prime, will be wearing these mostly in the house, and they still look pretty good on me, I'll stay with these. But the most important aspect is their effectiveness in blocking blue light. The result is that I can work on my computer after dinner, or drive past bright lights, or go into a florescent-lit store, and still start to feel drowsy a few hours after sundown. In 3 of the 4 nights I've used these, I've been in bed feeling sleepy by 10:15pm (instead of at midnight or much later). On the night that it "didn't work", I was out for a long sunset walk, and then went to a supermarket, forgetting my BluBlockers. Even 15 minutes of florescent light exposure raised my cortisol levels, because when I put the BluBlockers on as soon as I got home, the damage had been done. I was wired to stay awake, my mind alert and zooming till past midnight. So I'm restructuring my entire evening routine around wearing my BluBlockers, to allow my melatonin to rise and keep my cortisol down till the morning light hits! (I confess that I can even read on my iPhone in bed - an intense dose of blue light - as long as I'm wearing my BluBlockers! I soon fall asleep.)

Peculiar color rendition. I've been wearing a couple different shades of blue-blocking/absorbing sunglasses lately and I've gotta say that the BluBlocker make all blue objects (like my car) appear black or brown. Orange or copper lensed glasses quite often still allow an amount of blue spectrum through so clearly these glasses are blocking more of that range of the spectrum. That said, careful what you wish for. Everything in the world when these glasses are on is very, very yellowish and almost green at times. The overall light block is mild and these glasses are more well-suited for overcast days or early/late battles with sun where the intensity of noon-time sun would be better left to a pair of sunglasses with more significant tint. These glasses provide really good eye coverage like any 63mm aviator would. They also fit my large-sized face really well despite not having adjustable nose pieces. Nor is the nose area rubberized so it's remarkable how well they fit without sliding off my nose. The bows are very light and apply the perfect amount of pressure as to not become uncomfortable without ever feeling like they're going to fall off in vigorous game of horseshoes or back yard construction project. Lastly, thank God they're not polarized. I'm so tired of having to take glasses off to look at a smartphone or any other LCD display (gas pumps!) to see a price or any other important information so score another one for BluBlockers. I dig the way these look. I waited with them in my cart for a few days to catch them on a price reduction at Amazon and still score free SuperSaver shipping. They came in a plain, light-duty box with a cleaning/storage pouch and coincidentally these glasses fit in a case I had around for Tifosi sport glasses just fine so they'll be protected better than the provided pouch can offer while in my car.

I had bought a pair maybe 15 years ago when the first came out. These fit well over my regular glasses. The clip on broke easily and uncomfortable as I have a very high prescription glasses with thicker lenses in high index. Clip on did not work for me. My first pair ordered through TV shopping channel. Glad to see Amazon carries these. Had a hard time finding a replacement. My original broke only last year. The frame cracked not the lenses. These seem better quality made. Fit very well for me. I have a small to normal size face and look okay over my glasses. These work great to drive in rain storms and snow storms. I have perfectly clear vision of the road.

These fit perfectly, the style is pure fire, and they block the glaring colors that cause my green eyes to hurt in the sun. No more squinting for me! Moving forward, I will only wear these bad boys! I would post a pic, but I am too shy.

Pros: They actually make me really sleepy. They are extremely sturdy They aren't too dark to wear at night They are comfortable Cons: There aren't any. Well, maybe the fact that everything is orange when you put them on, but thats expected :D Great product! I had so much trouble falling asleep, now I fall asleep so fast! I just need to wear these glasses 2 hours before bedtime :) I have had trouble setting a regular sleep schedule since childhood, and light tends to disrupt my sleep significantly. With these glasses, I get sleepy relatively easily. The glasses themselves are very sturdy. I have dropped them several times and not much has happened to them. In fact, I keep them laying around my bed, and they tend to fall a lot. They're still perfectly fine. Before trying sleep medications, I would try these glasses before bed time, some coriander tea, and sleeping in total darkness. Doing all that really helped me.
