Simple and easy
Works as described. Easy to attach. Touch puck is visible but not unsightly.

Not what i thot it was.dimmer only not touchlanp
I wanted to create a true touch lamp out of my existing lamps. Aka dimmer & on-off capability for my bedside lamps but this is a dimmer only that can kinda be used with instruction to be somewhat a touch-lamp on/off. I procrastinated longer than the return window so I am stuck without despite contacting the company who makes/sells it. To use this you have to touch their silver dollar? Sized metal or plastic metal looking disk vs merely installing it somewhere under or inconspicuously on the lamp or inside the shade. I’ll find the message they sent and futz with it once I have the time:(

TouchPad Control Trick -- Also it won't shut off the lights
FIRST! Others mentioned not being able to get the touchpad to work (because they were likely only using only one finger). The touchpad does work! - Leave it plugged in for a minute - THEN - use 3 fingers! (think of a Boy Scout salute). The touchpad just needs more area of contact than one small finger. Also, you can use your thumb and forefinger on either side of the touchpad as if you're going to pick it up ... also activates it. 2 stars because the dimmer switch/touchpad will work - and give 3 levels of light... BUT! It absolutely would not turn off my LED dimmable lightbulbs. There was just too much amperage leaking through and wouldn't fully shut off my lamp. What a bummer. AND I CHANGED THE BULBS - TWICE! It didn't matter which brand or type I tried, this thing would not shut off my lamp. . . EVEN WORSE, it strobed! the flickering was so bad it was driving me nuts! - I ended up having to completely give up on this sorry P.O.S. -- NOW it's too late to send it back!!! The purpose of buying this DEWENWILLS touchpad control unit was because the outer casing on my lamp's on/off switch had been repaired once already and I'm not waiting for its inevitable demise. What a great idea to have a touchpad instead of a mechanical switch right? This would have been the perfect solution if it would completely cut off the power to the lamp, alas, this DEWENWILLS touch dimmer/touchpad control unit leaks enough power so any type of bulb I tried -- won't shut off, leaving me with low flickering AND WORSE . . . strobing light. I don't know if the wiring has a manufacturer's defect, but it definitely leaks. ** Update: I changed the previous LED dimmable bulbs to a new brand, new wattage LED bulbs. NO CIGAR. This unit will not shut off power to the lamp, it continues to leak enough power so the new bulbs continue to flicker and worse. WILL NOT SHUT OFF THE LIGHT! I'm sorry I wasted $10 . . . money that could have gone toward something useful. This thing is worthless. Save your money and go buy, or better yet, tell your family members when they ask what you need for your birthday or a holiday gift. I loath wasting money that I worked very hard for, this DEWENWILS Touch Dimmer Switch, Touch Pad Control is the worst purchase I've made in years. Eff me.

It works but not sensitive
Dimmer works as it should dimmer the lights in three steps, but the touch pad is not very sensitive to the touch.. I would look for another brand before I bought this one again. Icant say nothing bad about the company, they may just have received a bad batch.

Deliberate touch works
The switch turns on or off a lamp near my bed. I like it because I don't have to fumble for a switch -- I just touch the pad. I have to hold my finger on the pad just a little bit longer than the previous brand I used.... a half-second longer, maybe. That's not a bad thing. It means I have to be deliberate about turning the lamp on or off; an accidental brush of the pad won't trip the circuit.

Failed- but warrantied!
WARRANTY- the device failed in less than a year. HOWEVER, I noticed Dewenwils offers a 1-year warranty on their website. I took a chance and emailed them. Less than 24 hours later I have an email response offering a replacement or refund. I’ve accepted a replacement. If yours fails, check the purchase date and make a claim!

Safety walking in the evening And save on the electric bill
I have dimmer switches on all of my lamps I think it’s very important in the evening to keep the house well lit but not bright. always being able to see where I am walking that the path is clear is so important that there are no tripping obstacles makes me feel very safe not only does the house look very pretty at night but safe as well.

Unattractive looking wire on your tabletop
Haven't had these very long but would not recommend. So far, no issues with them working but I've only tried one of them. The wire that connects to the touch pad is super thin and will not lay flat on the table. It's extremely bendable and cannot be flattened manually either. A twist tie off of a loaf of bread is super thin and can easily be flattened. Surprisingly, this wire seems less substantial than a bread twist tie. The dimming feature works really well. I don't like the look of the thin bent wire on the table and do not expect them to last long because of how thin it is. Returning them.

After years of use, it is still working.
After many years of use, It is still working, sometimes it can't react to my touch, but the problem is only temporal. Maybe the cable that connects the touch sensor could be a little stronger but, no problems after all this time.

Luv it
Extreme fast delivery/Works gr8/I am using it to dim patio lights/ gives a like at night beside campfire effect. Because I am using outdoors I have modified unit using crazy glue to keep dimmer control fastened to face of unit , while keeping the control leads still package tied. Have waterproofed seams in plug unit with crazy glue and hope it will keep unit working in my sheltered from rain location . Very pleased with item and the low purchase price.

Touch pad is great!
Bought this for my 90yr old mum. She can’t turn the lights off with the switch so I tried this. Much easier for her to turn on or off the lights now. :)

Three months life span with mine!
Excellent… couldn’t be more happy, works as described! Thank you very much. Update, after 3 months one dimmer died… so I guess I am unlucky! Good luck!

Just don’t last.
Just don’t last. Work great while they work. I’ve bought no less than 5 2 packs for seniors to make turning lamps on and off easier. Only a few are now working. They last a couple months to a couple years. Waste.
