I love this little board! It made the process so much easier than using forks. It was smaller than I imagined but again it's not like you need anything huge. With the appropriate amount of flour or semolina the dumplings don't stick in the grooves. You occasionally have to knock the flower out of the cracks but for the most part this was so easy to use. Shipped as expected. I had fun making my last batch and the board is very durable.

First, will agree with other reviewers that the consistency of the dough is important here. The first batch of gnocchi I made was too wet. So it stuck to the board and made a big mess. For the 2nd attempt I switched to a recipe that baked the potatoes instead of boiling them. Huge improvement. Much better dough and the gnocchi rolled nicely. The board does what it's supposed to do. It's not bullet proof or stronger than steel. It's a simple wooden board with ridges and a handle. Roll a reasonably firm dough down the board and you'll get nicely ridged gnocchi. The handle seems adequate for the job. There was no issue with finding a comfortable way to hold the board and roll the dough pieces along it. It was pretty straight forward. I think the board will last many years and produce lot of tasty gnocchi. Give it a try. I think you'll be pleased you did.

It's small but works great making gnocchi

I took a pasta making class and these were the exact boards we used in the class. Of course I had to get one for myself. Not sure how often I will make individual noodles, but I'm ready when I do. Easy to use and good size.

My boyfriend loves his.

Same as I used as a child, growing up (just new, not "seasoned"). I also use the flat side to shape homemade butter.

A joy to use - much better than the back of a fork! Super quality, well packaged - took ages to arrive so I spent the time looking on the website making up a wishlist of other proper Italian cookware - easily pleased, me! Unfortunately, now I eat so much gnocchi I'm going to have to find diet products!

Much to my surprise - this gadget works! My gnocci were beautiful - they looked professionally made.
